I am VERY happy with this title update (mainly cause bloom is goin away).
but i remember seein something about the magnum being able to kill people with only 3 shots in the head. thats pretty overpowered.
i thought they could have left all the weapons on there. but just take off bloom.
whatever. im just glad im gonna get to play a better familiar game again.

Very happy with Pistol though. 
That’s the fun of it. It was insanely overpowered. 343 devs have said it themselves on numerous occasions. But that’s why everyone loved it and one of the things that defined CE. I did notice in the BTS vid that the CE mag only had an 8-shot capacity like the Reach mag, rather than the 12-shot mag from CE. It looks to me like the CE magnum isn’t even a new weapon, just the standard magnum without bloom and an individual damage buff.

I partly agree, I don’t like OP weapons in general but the Halo CE pistol was just plain fun to use.
I don’t have that feeling for the BR and DMR though.
I hope they take the DMR out of playlists that have the 3-shot magnum.
That, and i seriously think they should highly consider buffing the Assault Rifle damage to mimic that of the Halo 1 AR, only with the smaller 32-round magazine, and only in that playlist.

I wish they could make the assault rifle sound like the orginial, the only thing that bugged me about halo 3’s and Reach’s assault rifles sounded wimpy in comparison to the old assault rifle
I always wanted the thing to sound like the Pulse Rifle in Aliens.

The difference isn’t that big. H:CE’S AR took 16 rounds to kill, Reach’s takes 19. That means spraying for about half a second longer.
I think for the playlist, it should go back down to 16 shots to kill.
Why not?
They made the Magnum a three shot kill, which is a two or three shot difference from what it is now, isn’t it?

2 hogs per team, 1 default 1 rocket. 1 banshee per team, on top of base. Pistols, shotguns, AR, Plasma rifle, inside base and on top. None of the dumb rocks. None of the gay weapons. Snipers. DMRS because Reach is based around them (Sadface they look super ugly). No ghosts and stuff. Allow flag holders to drive. Rockets in the middle. Overshield/Camo on red teams half. Fuel rod on blue teams half. Plasma grenades on cliffs.

It’s not as “Overpowered” as you think. The Magnums we have been using since CE have been “underpowered.” The magnum fires a 12.7x40mm bullet, which is the equivalent(same exact dimensions) of a .500S&W cartridge.

The DMR and Assault Rifles fire a 7.62x51mm NATO bullet. Notice how this bullet is slightly longer than the .500S&W, but is nearly half as wide, meaning it’s a much smaller grain and ultimately less powerful.

Regardless of how “balanced” gameplay is, the magnum is vastly more powerful than the assault rifle or DMR. It’s just not as versatile because of the availability of ammo and magazine capacity.
