Elden Ring exists now so I have zero reason to play this game outside of grinding out Tac Ops next week.

Why do people keep saying this? Elden Ring has nothing in common with Halo, other than being āa video gameā.
Itās fine to like Elden Ring, but itās not neccesarily going to be satisfying for an FPS player

I get the feeling their vision outgrew their current staffs capacity. For example, if you want cosmetics in alive service game now you need a whole team dedicated to churning that out constantly with no other responsibilities. Thereās no way thatās the case with the amount of cosmetics available.
Just the way they are evolving monetization tells me they donāt have dedicated sales and statisticians to analyze stuff appropriately.

Some of you feel like in saying Destiny is a better game. That wasnāt my intention. Iām not trying to compare the game to any thing. My Bungie comment was in reference to how great of a job they did with H1, H2, and H3.
My point is this lack of content, unfinished game, and lack of communication FOR 6 YEARS is pathetic. Again, 6 years.
A campaign that you canāt replay missions, no coop, no forge, massive lack of quality game types, no shotgun, vehicles that are close to useless, I can go on and on.
To be honest I see tons of potential. The mechanics over all, at least on the series x, are fine. I did enjoy the campaign but it has zero replay value since you canāt replay missions and with the bugs, I canāt get one of the the spartan audio logs, I canāt even be a completionist.
I have been a huge halo fan since day one. With the time Iāve spent playing halo I could probably have 4 masters lol. Iāve read all of the books, most several times, but this and with the lack of closure from H4 Iām losing interest. Iām darn sure mad that I bought a series x just for Halo.
Bungie dead? Lmao Destiny 2 has a million players online concurrently.
They constantly update their community with any known issues and fix them in a timely manner.
Hereās what I get with Bungie. A campaign where Iām rewarded for completing the campaign on legendary, rotating playlists in PVP, a combination of PVP and PVE Mode, a ranked playlist on weekends where I match with people that have the same amount of wins with a chance to go flawless, spawn if I choose with utility weapons in their version of BTB, no desync issues or shots around a wall.
I can go on and on.
Honestly my only issue with Destiny 2 is how itās built around playing with others to get the best rewards and completing every thing. Iām older. I play alone. I donāt have time to sit for hours, let alone with 7 friends, to complete things.
But this is about 343 and infinite. Not Bungie or Destiny.

Maybe thatās why I canāt get into Destiny. Itās everything I should love on paper and for the last several years I fire it up every three months and play a couple hours. But I have a tiny bit a fun for five minutes and then just am bored beyond all reason. I refuse to play pve with a dedicated team though. So maybe thatās it.
Really makes you appreciate the good games that are coming out. Elden ring is a masterpiece.

Honestly I think 343 has a game thatās being held together by DuckTape. And canāt put out a roadmap because things are constantly breaking. But damn they could at least give us some updates on how development for forge and Co op campaign is going.
But yea this is typical 343 they go from we want to communicate to silence, back to letās give you guys all these details to silence. When things go south. And it sucks because Unyshek is just the messenger who has to type what er the PR tells him too.
And he gets all the heat, when we should be directing that to Bonnie Ross and Joseph Statem and that other guy who is in charge of content
Good point. Idk how Bonnie Ross is still in charge. At least Joseph Staten is trying to correct the ship and does not have a 10+ year track record of colossal failures.

They stated from release they needed time to work on some unfinished behind the scenes features. That is why they extended this season to 6 months in the first place. Screeching and end of worldāing isnāt going to do anything. Be patient.

LOL. Be patient? You mean like 6 years in development patient? No sir. When a company does a bad job at the bulk of their responsibilities there should be consequences. You know, like losing the bulk of your players in the first 3 monthsā¦ Sorry, but people who suck up to any company just donāt get it. We pay for a product. We owe them money and they owe us a good product. 343 has not delivered in so many areas. Period. This isnāt debatable when common sense and reason is used.

They did their waiting, asking them to wait further for the promise of future stuff after having to do this so many times will only cause further frustration, some people like yourself may have infinite patience but there are others who simply donāt. so asking them to wait again is a death sentence.
