HALO 2v2 Playlist

Please do not post if you are not at least a Diamond 6 in doubles. I want people with skill and experience to post

Lets say you are playing The Rig 2v2 for example. I honestly feel like I’m playing Fiesta!

Plasma Caster, Scatter Shot, Sniper Rifle, Storm Rifle, Camouflage, Promethean Grenades.

Could you please remove at least 4 of these weapons?

All of these weapons ruin the 2v2 playlist especially around the onyx and champion levels.

The more pistol, battle rifle, and carbine battles the better.

Thanks

Isn’t it a shotgun on The Rig, not a Scattershot? I don’t really know, maybe Doubles maps have different layouts, I don’t play Doubles often.

1 of those things isn’t even a weapon, Storm Rifle is a pain to get to and most know it is risky to go for it, besides, the SMG and Song of Peace are wayy more consistent choices for a CQC weapon. And, sorry to break your bubble, but the more Magnum, BR, and Precision battles are not a good thing, there would be more accurate players around and it would be a pain to run around the map, knowing you could get perfected without any chance of cover, and the more potshot battles would suck.

I would rather lose to more “accurate” players than to plasma casters, shot guns, and storm rifles. At least I could say, “I lost to someone that was really good.”
This is what onyx and champion players would want. So maybe there should be a social playlist for casual gamers? That could actually work!

Power Weapon control is an element in Arena, like it or not.
My advice is to go into customs on The Rig, and assess the weapon spawn locations. It’ll assist you when it comes to winning.
I agree that power weapons are abundent on that map, and a few others, like Coliseum, but they’re perfectly reasonable and incorporating them into your gameplay allows for far more victories.

Power weapons are fine. I just said there are to many for a 2v2 playlist. They need to remove a few. You don’t think so?

I don’t. There are enough weapons for both teams to have (relatively) equal firepower, and it promotes coordination.

Why? Why? Just why?

Higher tiers are not nessecarily the more “accurate” players, more often than not they are the more tactical and strategic type, who don’t run by automatics or power weapons and think “Wow those guns, although lethal, take so much less skill,” they think “sweet, free kills.”

The mindset of not using “lesser skilled” guns is what ruins performance. If you start using these guns you would find that it is much easier to win and do well in games via actually using other weapons instead of precision weapons.

But I can honestly grab a camo and a scattershot and a plasma caster and get like 15 kills in a row. How does a team defend against that? That also allows for my teammate to take control of sniper rifle since the other team is dead the entire time. There has been so many games where we will beat a team 25-0 then lose to the exact same team 25-0. Nobody enjoys this at the onyx/champion level. How about a casual and competitive 2v2 playlist? or maybe the rules change once you reach onyx? I’m not trying to argue with you I’m just trying to make a valid point

That just sounds like a good ol’ -Yoink–kicking by good ol’ team coordination.

Ya but once I know camo time and have the scatter shot and plasma caster the game is over. Especially in 2v2. If me and my teammate get the first 2 kills we always win.

Not really. Whoever gets camo first game over. They get all weapons and that’s it.

Then fight for camo! I assume you are playing with a teammate, it is doubles after all, coordinate with them to rush camo, or even just collapse the platform under it and ground pound the enemy going below for it.

Exactly that’s cheap that’s how people with less eye coordination and precision skill. I would say it’s more of getting the power weapons and camping, if you’re a high onyx and/or champion you know if you control the power weapons the whole game it’ll go by quicker but if the other team gets the power weapons and power ups a few times it’s a boring game that usually last the whole time. I feel it should be about gun skill because people say it’s “controlling power ups and power weapons” but really you’re just intimidated you might lose a gun fight when it comes to accuracy and that death counts towards the score and could cost you the game in some cases
So what do you do? “Control the power weapons and power ups” like a coward for “easy kills” and that’s the problem itself it shouldn’t be like that in a 2v2. Plus I say get rid of these arena maps too big for 4 people.

THANK YOU. Someone actually gets it. Also, once you get the camo at the start of the game and scattershot and snipe and caster its impossible for the other team to make a comeback.

If you remove all the power weapons from the map in a symmetrical gametype like Team Slayer, neither team has incentive to leave their spawn. It makes for incredibly boring gameplay, so you do need to have some power weapons on the map.

But at the same time, if you have too many power weapons, that completely changes the game. It’s no longer about who has better aim; it’s about who is better at keeping control of the power weapons. And there is some skill in that, but it’s a different kind of skill. And it’s a much less rewarding skill.

I imagine that most competitive players would agree that it’s more satisfying to out-pistol someone than to get an SMG kill or a Scattershot kill. So, yeah, have a power weapon or two on each map, but no more than that.

If I want to play a gametype where everyone has a power weapon, I’ll play Fiesta or Warzone.

I’m saying whoever gets camo gets all the weapons and goes on a crazy killing spree. That isn’t fun. You shouldn’t be rewarded a bunch of free kills with power weapons for getting the camo

This ^

Yea, I have to admit that The Rig has too many power weapons. This is showing because I’m often in Champion rank my self on doubles and I’m also frequently playing against other really high ranked people. Sometimes we have over 10 kill swings on Rig (10-0 kills) because the other team has all of the power weapons and camo. You can’t do -Yoink- against a guy who has a Plasma Caster and knows how to use it. And it could be worse if he also has camo as well. That weapon alone makes Rig really annoying sometimes. Of course I love it when I have the weapon and just two-shot enemies with it =) But yea, The Rig has too many power weapons + camo. They should remove at least two weapons.

The point of Halo (in my opinion) is to have weapon, power up, and power point control.

U control power weapons u control the game
