Have any of you wanted to play 2v2 matchmaking only to end up having to do everything while your teammate does nothing? Its insanity! Just yesterday I had to instances of this: First game, started out normal i was going around gathering resources starting to build up base/forces etc. but my teammate was just focusing on his base and not moving anywhere. Now i forget the name of the map we played on but at the bottom of the map in between our 2 bases was a mini base spot. I thought “ahh il just snag it later or maybe my teammate wants it.” NO… without me knowing he let a small enemy squad get to that mini base and build a barracks and just got a steady flow of troops going! They kept taking pop shots at my base and when i attacked the mini base it just kept spewing out forces! My teammate did not assist me at all idk what he was doing and then since i spent so much time trying to take out this mini base i got SWARMED by enemies at my base that was nowhere near ready and somehow they had super units all that and just decimated me. then my teammate just started casualy going after power nodes when i was getting rocked then he got destroyed shortly after and it seemed like he had no idea what was going on! Second, long story short, again i was doing all the work captured almost every power node on the map and all the sudden by base gets swarmed by a massive blob of banshees! How did they afford them with no nodes so early in the game!!! and my teammate did nothing to help… SO WEAK BRO! i cant take it!
Any you guys have any horror stories of incompetent teammates?

Right?? Kills me when teammates dont want to collaborate! cause whats the point of doing a 2v2 or 3v3 if you arnt gunna work as a team??
I have learned not to play competitive 2v2 or 3v3 unless I am in a party with somebody who I know doesn’t suck. It is so easy to lose a game because your teammate doesn’t know what he is doing, so I have started to main the 1v1 playlist, because I know that I am usually responsible for whatever happens to me (looking at you Serina).

i agree! but sometimes i wanna play with a teammate and my fiends arnt online. I usually do a couple 1v1s to warm up

It is a rough world in 3v3s. Me and my buddy used to play them and we would get stuck with a lacking 3rd party most of the time. Oddly enough, however, those were some of my favorite games. We were by no means competitive players at that point so we kept it casual and tried not to be bothered too bad when we lost. Now that we have gotten better and try to actually compete, 3v3s without a third person we know is out of the equation.

I’ve had this exact situation happen to me multiple times actually. Some people know only one strategy and are not willing to adapt whatsoever.

Didn’t help get power nodes, had no army, checked his resources and it was in the thousands… wouldn’t communicate, finally started building units by mid game… map was highway. Other partner went vehicles and infantry, while I went air to harass and destroy expos, mini bases.

No, other team attacked in proximity to each other and wiped me and buddy out. I remember it like it was yesterday because all of the leader powers that fell upon my army, it was ludicrous. In this order, EMP mac blast, scatter bomb, then enduring Salvo. It was chaotic, I literally had almost nothing left.
You want a horror story, let me drive your Hog next time you play a FP Halo 
My horror story comes from before the Anders nerf. I built all Sentinels and crushed three entire armies solo (teammates were retreating) pushed the enemy bases (killing one while the other two sat trying to spam Wolvies to no avail).
Teammates got back in the fight, we push the second player’s main base then he uses Archer Missiles on my Sentinels and my game crashes.

There was this one 3v3 match that I was in where my two teammates were proud members of team potato that managed to achieve the rank of grand master within the guild. Granite it was a 3v3 match but one of my teammates who was a shipmaster decided it was a good idea to do an early rush on a kinsano and bomb him into the stone age, but could never really finish the job off so the were having their mini 1v1 match in a 3v3, but even then I had to come in to save him multiple times and give him a ton of supplies due to how hard he was throwing his army away expecting me to give him more supplies whenever he -Yoinked!- up. All he did was spam banshees, he didn’t even wait for the banshees to amass into a swarm and just sent them out to Kinsano’s base who was just building wolverines and staying by his base not even expanding. I don’t understand why he didn’t even try to transition into something else. Leaving me and the other proud member of team potato to fend for ourselves in a 2v2 fight. This by far was one of the most clueless mother–Yoinks!- I have ever come across in all my years of video gaming, its like the definition common sense was erased from his vocabulary.
Maybe he was abandoned while he was a child, I don’t know. But I do know that all this idiot would do is take his army and have it literally hug the -Yoink- cheeks of my tanks not matter how hard I try to split my army he would always be there to fill the void, forever together. It got so bad the point that when I decided to take a back road around the enemy teams base to hit it this idiot decided back track his whole army to take the back road to follow right behind me instead of taking the main way that was a much shorter path. So I ended up having to 1v2 the other team while my teammate was out sight seeing. Only someone mentally disabled could possibly not hit more than 60 percent our army with all their ults combined and send my whole army to an early grave due to this idiots army was blocking my retreat, like those fences at Hillsborough, London.
This idiot alone managed to drag the game out an additional 30 minutes longer than it actually needed to be. It got so bad that I had to literally give this guy 1500 power so he could finally tech up when I noticed he was still at level two by the 25 minute mark. What makes it worse was this guy was level 50 and playing Serina, how the hell are you this bad with serina in here prime. I think the only thing that could have possibly have saved us was the fact that I was being a scummy try hard, riding off the power of forge hog, utilized grizzly tank spam, and my ability to embrace the bull–Yoink- and power on through to the end like a wife trying to divorce you in family court, employing scorched earth tactics, while using the kids as warheads for the moneyz.

My Decimus had a full pop army of T1 infantry while my Arby was better off with a mixed crew of T2 and T3 units supporting a scarab. Needless to say, I literally held two, sometimes three armies off at a time while these two Sat and did nothing. At one point I almost eliminated the enemy Arby from the game, but they couldn’t even be good distractions long enough for me to get rid of at least some of the competition.

I know the pain! I mean i love a good challenge but I also like when my TEAM helps me out just a little even if it means pumping me with resources!

Thus is the story of how I got placed in silver 6 with what feels like children. I played another match yesterday where for the first 15 minutes I was actively texting, having a conversation, and staying on top for 90% of the game before going on to win it.
it probably comes down to people who are fans of halo but have little to no experience with rts games and they dont practice in skirmish before going online. they just think “oh i beat the campaign i think im ready for online ranked now”
