Me and my girlfriend had a friendly private match, nobody joined the game, but upon reviewing our match in theatre mode another player can be seen standing behind the purple Spartan at the beginning.

The third Spartan seems to be a combination of of mine and hers. That’s only judging from the colours though. It’s like those ghost photographs where the ghost partially appears behind somebody else.
