So after taking a break from the game i played a ton of octagon and started to get my aim back. I started playing arena and i lose just about every game. Last i played halo was months ago but even though i get matched against teams of 4 i have never done this bad before.
I feel like i hit most of my shots but its like my teamwork after not playing for so long is lacking.
Try playing free-for-all, teammates can’t let you down there plus you are less likely to get double teamed.

I used to play FFA but it was too frustrating for me lol. The spawns are crazy in FFA
Playing solo has never been soo one sided.
Even after hundreds of games I used to have at least 60% win.
It’s been doing nothing but dropping lately.
Terrible games with obvious team work and communication on the other side.
Teams gather the best people they can find so they never have to lose.
Solo win rate 35-55%
Teams (avg) 70-95% (90-99% pro)
Other halo have more of a solo player base so the win rates are more even.

Learn to use the magnum rather than using the assault rifle and you’ll have a better time

You want to learn both. If you get to focused on the magnum you have “Hyper Magnum Syndrome” meaning that no matter what situation, you use your magnum. For example, if you were in close quarters and your opponent was using the assault rifle while you had a magnum, he would win the fight. At long range, this is obviously different. So you want to learn how to use both weapons proficiently and when to use them.

Yeah, this Halo is just bad for solo players. Unfortunately this forum has plenty of team players who expect you to get a team or QQ. I despise that mindset but it seems to be popular.
Combined with the deranking have caused me to stay away from arena. Before deranking I could ,playing solo, get to diamond. Now if i can get into platinum I’m happy.

Actually if you are worried about win percentage I wouldn’t recommend FFA seeing how anything but first counts as a loss. I love H5 FFA and play it a lot hence why my win percentage is only 39%. If you want a higher win percentage you need a team in H5 pretty much.

Double teaming might not happen, but kill stealing often happens as lot, so suggesting that to avoid double teaming doesn’t really make any sense. You still have the risk of 2 people shooting you at once.

Lolololol no.
The AR has it’s uses in CQC combat. As mentioned earlier, going “hyper precision weapon/precision weapon happy” only ends up getting you killed in CQC. Now Before anyone says “But that’s because Autos are OP”: They aren’t. Autos are good at their specific job, CQC combat, whilst precision weapons can dominate during mid/long range gun fights. There are both good and bad situations for weapons. You just need to know what weapon to use in a gunfight, and when to use it.
Here’s what you do: when you shoot, crouch up & down real fast like you’re tea bagging. It confuses the enemy so bad they’ll be shooting at the sky. They won’t know what to think. You’ll be like a ghost. A squatting ninja ghost just bopping up and down shooting like that looking so cool. You’ll start winning so much you’ll be sick of winning.
But seriously, you got me worried because I took a break to play through Dishonored 2 low-chaos, Halo Wars 2, and then all the Halo campaigns in order like a nerd (and I’m still on Halo 2 … and I’m stressing because they added GTA IV and Borderlands 2 to backwards compatibility and still haven’t finished my Newgame+ in Witcher 3 … let me sum up my feelings with a meme. The struggles are tough, man. lol). So it’s my turn next to be king noob because I’m itching to get back in there.

Yes but how the getatme said it, it seemed he keeps getting killed by the magnum while using the AR, meaning he’s far enough to use the magnum

The spawns are crazy in this game period. Anyone who’s played Super Fiesta and spawned with an enemy literally around a corner will tell you that.

I think free-for-all is the best training ground to get your game back. You learn how to survive pretty well when everyone you see is trying to kill you. You’ve got to be ready to clutch it every time you see another player.
Then after you get your reaction times and map movements back down, you can bring those into team slayer or team arena.
Seems someone was mad at solos and it all started when they decided to ax split screen. My CSR is so much better on my SCo., and friends profile. This is my solo profile.
