$25 for the Reach Hazop set? Are you serious?

It doesn’t matter if it’s not impacting gameplay or not. It costs twice as much as the game pass for a single set of armor.

Is that not a legitimate thing to complain about? I could buy a game for $20 man.

See, you are falling back on repeating your own retorts which have no weight at all.
Sure it has no effect on gameplay, but this is a product we are talking about, so we can’t just focus on gameplay and ignore customization which 343 has promised us as well as marketed to us.

You have to look at the full product as a whole : and they failed to deliver on the customization half.
If this were something like a meal, it could be akin to selling you a juicy burger, but giving you rotten expired fries on the side. In that situation, it would only be natural to call for a refund or a replacement yes?

It applies here too. People are genuinely upset not only because of the customization being bad, but because promises were broken and expectations were not met.

You can’t simply brush everything off as “haha loser whining about dress up”. There’s alot at stake here if they can’t satisfy the fans, the core audience of their game.

It is funny in a way. 343i making crazy money over items they didn’t even create or designed themselves. It was all Bungie who created these iconic armorpieces over a decade ago. Where a decade ago the items were one of the first you unlock are now sold for a 3rd of the price of the original game.

Who could have made that up? If in 2010 somebody whould have told me that in 2021 the Hazop set would get sold for 30% of the full price of Halo Reach. I dunno. I would have probably either laughed or cried. Or both.

I’d like to put a tea-bag on the side of my gun, or a rose on my Spartan’s chest, but I’m not paying $30USD for it.
Because I am an average lower-middle class Canadian citizen who cannot afford to do so.

Edit: real neat that the word tea-bag without the hyphen is censored

Yeah that is exactly the thing. I can tell you right now that I have so much more customization options in MCC, despite spending like 95% of the time in campaign. Infinite does not come close.

Halo is an amazing game but the fans have never had to by the armour. It used to come with the game.

I say if you buy the game you get all armour ( have to warn it of course) if you don’t buy it with the passes.

Up until this Fallout 76 was the most disgusting display of AAA micromonetization I had seen, but this just makes me say “what were they thinking…?”

I sometimes jokingly read out store contents to my older brother who also used to play Halo, and he too thinks it sounds like exactly that, a joke.

ya wanna know the worst part? THEY COULD’VE HAD EVERY REACH ITEM IN THE BP.
look at season 1 of mcc. exclude the elites, FF voices, and armor effects. plenty of room for challenge swaps. mk7 armor. heck, even a aunti dot ai…
‘but it’s heroes of reach, ya know, just noble’ i don’t remember noble wearing any ODST gear :3
or noble having the superintendant AI

Question how would they animated dot for objectives? I mean she’s not the most er exprisive ai

Nah they should have the bp stay $10 and just also give us a reasonable amount of new content instead of ripping out old and legacy content to sell it back at overinflated prices.

The biggest insult to injury is armor cores imo. Even if I was rich enough that 25 quid wasn’t anything, I would still be limited in using those items on one armor core. I can’t even mix and match to my hearts content. The monetization is a bigger tragedy than what the Covvies did to Reach.

fair point. maybe make her 2.5 D. and like in the game of reach, have her lines light up whenever she spoke. not as expresive as the superintendant, sure. but it fits the theme of Reach. at least she was apart of reach -v-
or, alternatively. 343 would put effort into her, by giving her a face like the other AIs. and the lines that light up would be an AI color, that’d be cool, having the black/blue lines that light up for the other AIs. of course having the animated color be a seperate tier

I don’t even have to pay for the Battlepass.

Every month I would get 5 bucks to use at GameStop and I’d redeem it for Microsoft points. Have been doing it for a while I have enough to pushase roughly 20 Battlepass at 10 bucks each.

And all keep redeeming my 5 bucks for such things. Basically they aren’t going to get my real money… And and gamepass points for saying on Gamepass…

I learned to work the system to my benefit

Don’t forget the challenge swap fillers. Oh and how they basically sell us or use us unlock the same coating/emblem multiple times by :closed_lock_with_key: jg it to specific weapons armor cores and vehicles

Possible possible oh maybe kinda make the lines look like they have expressions like it lights up to ^^ for when you capture a zone or whiles being captured the lines can make a ? When they light up

oh yeah! that’d be indeed cool. creative expressions using the / and \ that auntie dot has. or as an AI color. nice touch of details

Oh what if her color on the other ais glowed when expressing like dark blue for preview but the light blue when they express
