The self-admission of the games state of emptiness, but also thinking the game is doing “top-5” stats. But also the absolute copium to pretend like this trend doesn’t extend platforms. Pretending like Microsoft picking their “most played” is honest when they don’t even release any actual metrics, or the algorithm to determine it. Majority, including you, is literally feeling like the game is lacking and boring Yet your entire heart and soul argument is based on what a company chart says about it’s own game.
Wasn’t this thread started about $25 for a miniscule piece of content and now, 3 months later you realize what we were talking about 3 months ago???
Idek Elden Ring blows this game out of the water. Like. Damn. Look at how much content Fromsoft made in 6 years compared to infinite.
Wild stuff.
I’m not “thinking” the game is top 5, there are numerous sources you can pull for yourself to see. I’ve always said let the numbers speak for themselves. I personally don’t think the game is worth coming back to daily (as a die hard fan) but the majority say otherwise.
Comparing population and content is the same as comparing apples and oranges. I’m sure you already know this but don’t want to concede to that.
And what the one guy said above me is right and I agree with him too. I’ve already put 30 hours into elden ring and I’m not even a quarter of the way through the main story.
There is so much you don’t factor in here. But 1, I’d love to see these other “sources” that give actual metrics on the player size of Halo on Xbox. Are are you just lying, or veiling a lie behind vaguely referring to these “numerous sources”?
Let the numbers speak for themselves? Exactly. And guess what Xbox doesn’t give us any “numbers”. The only “numbers” that exist are our Steam charts. It is fair to extrapolate the trend from that in combination with general tone and talking points of the community.
The game is dead and dying. Even “die hard” fans like you admit their copium wasn’t enough to keep them playing. I am telling you the “top-5” charts of a company cannot be trusted, specially if they do not provide any actual metric. And these “numerous sources” don’t exist and I suppose you just wanted to straight lie about that to hand wave away this point. There are no sources that give you an actual daily player count for the Xbox platform. If there was, you would have cited those instead of always referring to the vague “Most played” charts by Microsoft.
I wouldn’t trust a ‘top played’ list when microsoft is a publisher of Infinite, controls the list, and probably had say in the asinine shop customization system.
monie.

Here you go!

Bro just literally Googled this and copy pasted, clearly
. Please tell me, where this information or metrics are validated? They don’t even post numbers, or how they got these accounts, or how they gather the information of these accounts. Lmao. https://www.trueachievements.com/n35488/introducing-the-xbox-gameplay-chart.
Brb. Going to register a domain, and just make my own chart with claims I pooled Xbox users, then link it to you as evidence Halo Infinite is dead. ![]()
Regardless of Infinite’s population and it’s ranking in the top charts, people are still leaving and the game is still a subpar gaming/‘spend to look cool’ experience- Just because a lot of people play it doesn’t make it good, see fortnite-
That being said, knowing the numbers would be nice, from the horses mouth. Transparency is always nice.
I also think to consider a game dying there are far many more things to consider. Like Hours played, retention, ect. People hoping on just to redeem a daily reward, doesn’t really indicate anything about the game. I still hop on games I don’t care for, for the dailys just in case one day the game redeems itself, I can have made small progress overtime.
Yeah I figured you would come back with a non argument. Thanks for giving up so easily,! Nice chatting with you
A non-argument? My guy, I addressed to you why I don’t trust the chart of microsoft. Because it has bias potential and doesn’t provide and metrics or rationale to why or how they determine these things. To prove me wrong, you then cite a source, that does literally the exact same thing but a different domain name. I am making an argument, it’s just you who seems to not be able to listen or comprehend it. ![]()
“Cite me a source that isn’t Microsoft”
Cites sources that isn’t Microsoft
“What is this domain? You literally just googled this bro”
Bro I literally gave you my argument word for word above. There is no excuse for you to literally get it so wrong again. My argument was not just that it was Microsoft. Go ahead and read it one more time.
Everything else you said is pointless. You said the population is dead, I cited sources saying otherwise, you say those sources aren’t valid.
There’s no winning in this argument, I refuse to debate with a brick wall
I’m glad they have put a huge amount onto the store. I remember everyone asking for weekly store updates instead of content/ s
No it’s not pointless. As they are the points I am making. Ergo they are pointful. I said the game is dying and will be dead, first off. I am ALSO saying the population decline is a symptom that examples that. You cited sources that list them in their charts as top games… which I reject as evidence since they don’t provide any meaningful metric for what we are discussing, i.e popularity, trends, hours played, new players, ect. So yes, they are not valid for the discussion we are having… specially when ALL other evidence contradicts it. It could be supplementary evidence if you had other pieces of evidence, but you don’t. I have the evidence of a community upset, lack of social engagement on the game, the social engagement that does exist is negative, the target platform the game had a major goal in attracting (PC) completely flopped, and continues the trend of flopping, fans even such as you who are apologists ADMIT the game is boring and that even YOU don’t play it. Yet, your argument hinges 100% on a vague chart with no real explanation as to how it exists or is determined. Do you see the difference here? Do you see how much weight your vague chart is doing to carry your entire argument? Despite there being more overwhelming evidence to the contrary?
Refuse to debate a brick wall? Buddy, you are the brick wall. Bending over every which way to avoid calling Halo Infinite what it is. What it clearly is. An absolute failure of a AAA game. A game that is dying, and gasping for air. The only life in the game is due to denial, nostalgia, and people who just love Halo. That is not even close to a living or thriving game. It failed at everyone of it’s goals. Now it’s just a platform of kids with their moms credit card buying cat ears, and people in their mid 30s with depression trying regain the happiness they once had as a child - to no avail. It’s a pathetic existence. I.e., it is a dying game.
I don’t feel it makes sense to address anything you’ve said above, but just to address your last point. If you’re in your mid 30’s and are depressed, go do/ play something that you enjoy. Coming onto forums and constantly berating the game doesn’t help yourself.
I enjoyed Infinite, but stopped playing because it got boring for me. If the majority felt the same way I do, then changes would happen much sooner. Market dictates the gaming industry, and Infinite is holding a large, steady population ( at least on MS platforms)
“I’m not going to address anything you say”. Yet call me the brickwall ![]()
Can’t argue with someone who refuses to acknowledge what I’m saying
Not much I can do for someone who volunteers to put their head in the sand.
I can’t imagine paying $1 or $2. I guess that’s why I have spent $0 on this game so far.
