$25 for the Reach Hazop set? Are you serious?

The only way their prices will change is if a majority stops buying absurd amounts of credits and cosmetic packages, I also think their prices wouldn’t change much anyway because of inflation.

The biggest issue i have with the armour pricing is that i simply cant afford it. As a student i just cant spend that much money on a armour sett. I dont see how 343 can make money if young people cant afford to buy stuff in the online store.

It’s pretty crazy. Developers need to show more grit and bite towards publishers. Publishers aren’t making the game, or have any if at all… contact with the gaming communities. It needs to go back to the days of game developers make the GAME and share the profits with their publisher for putting out the game. Now it’s the other way around where publishers dictate everything… which is wrong. This is a big reason why the market is saturated with these microtransactions that are abysmal. I would only pay 5$ max for a complete set that was worth my money.

This is a class dichotomy you’re presenting. These were not their only options.

I defend 343 a lot, but even this judgement of hiring contractors over FTE was a huge mistake. I guarantee this judgement alone is what set back many features being delayed or scrapped altogether. I know at my work, contractors are the worst people to deal with as they have no passion for the work they do. To them it’s just a paycheck for a year

Bingo it’s something that is obvious to anyone how you look doesn’t mean how you play

Meaning looking like a badass doesn’t mean you play like a badass

A badass you say? I just want to look cute while I play my favorite FPS series.

I’ve seen a few of those whales while playing n it’s really easy to see that they just bought all the levels in the battle pass because they don’t care about their money because they have too much of it to spare

Everyone understands that the game was and continues to be expensive to develop, but I have to once again agree with the VAST MAJORITY that the pricing of most items is absolutely ridiculous and should be dropped like 70%. I like many other have the money to buy everything I’d ever want in the game but it’s not about that.

I’d honestly like to know does the person(s) responsible for the pricing think the prices are ok and fair?

Even if I was super rich I wouldn’t buy them at those prices, especially old redone armors. I honestly believe they would make a lot more by lowering the prices, selling stuff individually not in bundles, and if they made it all easy to mix and match. Same goes with the colors of armor and visors, it’s unfathomable that you can’t use your earned/paid colors on different armor sets.

Nevertheless I’m loving the game, it’s incredibly nice mix of the greatest times and something new.

The most optimal price should be the price that would generate the highest returns. The price should exist anywhere between the two extremes of $O which would generate nothing and an absurdly large price (like $1000) would discourage anyone to make a purchase. However, I do unfortunately not have any experience in finding the most optimal pricing scheme or access to any of the sales data which means that I don’t have an insufficient amount of information to conclude where the pricing lies in comparison to the optimal pricing.

I can’t wait to see how much they’ll charge for the Cat Ears attachment lol

I doubt they’ve found it. Considering most of the Halo audience isn’t happy with the system they have, and all the people that said they would buy if prices were cut in half. They likely used data from other Free to Play games and the price of skins. But the problem is, that data isn’t directly applicable to Halo Infinite. One, because a full skin in a game like Fortnite offers your more, and is totally unique, often licensed, and isn’t armor you’ve already had it two games you have paid for. And two, the Halo audience isn’t used to his sort of thing, so if you want to maximize profits off of them you can’t just throw them in the deep end.

I mean, optimization for anything with a single variable (and price is a single variable) involves modeling profits based on x (your price) using what data you have, and finding critical points. But if your data isn’t applicable, then no analysis you do with it will be quite right.

Everything in the store is overpriced. My guess is that its so they can claim “We don’t have any micro-transactions” in Halo Infinitive…correct, because micro-transactions are like .99c to maybe $1.99, of which there are no items in that price range in the Halo Infinite store. Even emblems are like $5.

I did buy the Battle Pass, which seemed reasonable, but everything else is seriously ridiculous. A full armor set should be no more than $4.99, individual pieces should be .99c . In the end I’m fine with just the stuff I get through the multi-player grind. This is a great free to play game. I wanted to support the team so bought the Battle Pass, but until they fix store prices they won’t get another penny out of me.

The funniest part is that all the unlocks are linear, and you unlock “legendary” stuff before “rare” stuff most of the time.

What 343 needs to do is put the Halo reach armor pieces in the same slots where the VII armor pieces are it’s called The heroes of reach battle pass so why are there other armors and filler items in it that don’t have anything to do with Halo reach secondly is anyone else slightly bothered by the fact that the armor kits for the Halo reach characters isn’t a one-to-one match the armors are correct yes but none of them have their distinguishing markings I mean Carter has an emblem on the right side of his chest plate and he has red markings on his legs and his forearms have blue lines on each side also the pad thing that’s on his wrist it’s on the left side not the right and Jorge has it on both forearms also why doesn’t Jun have a knife on one of his shoulders like he does in the beginning of the Halo reach campaign even Emile’s armor isn’t right it’s the wrong color n he doesn’t have any markings on his left shoulder

Summary

I made an ENTIRE POST on this topic called :

HALO INFINITE ; If you have $20 to spend, then you must have $30+ dollars to spend. “ -343 Industries

It was locked down by an Monitor, but I highlighted EVERYTHING on micro-transactions from Past Halo titles with Bungie - too 343 Industries and surprisingly, Bungie never handed out free DLC except for one or two times ; Where 343 Industries handed out some of Halo 4’s DLC , all of Halo 5’s DLC, all of the MCC DLC’s - H3 ODST.

When it comes to Infinite, 343 Industries is STRAIGHT UP Killing Halo with charging players $60.00 for a Campaign that should be $25.00 - $30.00 and gives you no armor on any difficulty upon completion.
Multiplayer is “ FREE “ , its not cause you need to buy game pass, which depending on what Game-pass plan you bought, that could be

  1. $1.00 For Gamepass for 3 Months ( 1 time offer per6 months - 1 Year )
  2. $10.00 - $15.00 per Month
  3. $25.00 Per 3 Months
  4. $100.00 Per Year

Gamepass grants you access to Multiple games, not just Halo Infinite’s Multiplayer… If Halo Infinite Multiplayer was “ FREE “ , Then you would only need to download it from the Microsoft store like a game demo and NOT have to buy gamepass to have access to it.

343 Industries states there going to adjust the prices and fix future season passes, but I doubt that, at the end of the day, there still going to charge players money to try and buy old content we got for free in past games.

Just lame of them.

This! This right here! Everyone supporting these outlandish prices really don’t value these games, or maybe they haven’t played games BEFORE this was standard. Don’t let them get away with these prices, it’s absolutely ridiculous! I remember when you could but a cosmetic for a buck or two. Like, come on guys!

Unfortunately I’ve seen a lot — and I mean a lot — of players wearing the HAZOP set this week. The other day I had 6 quick play matches out of 10 where at least one player had the HAZOP armor.

As much as I agree that this monetization model sucks and these prices are out of control, there appear to be far too many who just don’t care and throw their money at the screen. So long as those whales exist, I don’t expect anything to change. Just lip service until the spending slows, then they’ll “make changes” to promote more spending from those sitting on the sidelines at the current pricing.

im sick of you complacent dbags making videos games cost a thousand dollars a season and to still have no content
