Okay, I’ll admit upfront that I quit alot of matches. Usually so I don’t get angry at a fight that’s isn’t worht fighting (insane late games IE: 100-850) But still, a full day? That is up 21 hours from my previous 3 hour quitting ban. The stupid part was that I have the search preference on Expanded and still got a late match. I think that a 24hr ban might be a bit over kill. It’s not like I’ll stop quitting in the future because of it.

I get your frustration and I do believe the ban should NOT be in effect if you quit out of a JiP match. However, if you’re okay with getting long bans so you can avoid a 10 minute loss that’s your decision. I don’t feel the benefits of quitting outweigh the current ban system

JIP is not a cure for quitting. There is no guarantee that you will be replaced at all or how long it will take no is there a guarantee of an equivalent replacement.

If you keep quitting and admit that you’re going to keep quitting, then I don’t really have any sympathy for your situation. I think the bans will just keep getting longer so prepare for days and weeks. One tip for you is to quit when you’re in the pregame lobby if it’s a JIP game so you won’t get banned. The background screen won’t change and there won’t be a countdown timer if it’s a JIP game.

And since you say you’re going to keep quitting anyway, being banned sounds like the perfect punishment.

Yes lets encourage more oeople to stay away from halo becuase it punushes you for not playing. Seriously the ban hammer hasnt solved the so called quitting problem. Its cuased more oroblems then actually helped. This idiotic system didnt work in reach and doesnt work now. But go keep supporting such a stupid system.

Then what is the solution?
If we leave it all to JIP, then you’ll end up with the problems Halo 4 had.
Remove both, and then you’ll end up with permanently lopsided matches, which is even worse.
The only good one I heard is that you can only rejoin the game you left and nothing else, but if they willingly quit the game, they don’t have an intention to go back to it.

Reach was basically all social except for one playlist. With so many ranked playlists in H5, I think there needs to be a deterrent for quitting, but I don’t think the social playlists should give people a quit ban especially with JIP enabled.
I would also say that removing stats from social would probably help people not be so salty when someone quits.

So to paraphrase, "Prisons haven’t prevented murders, so all murderers should walk free.’ That isn’t a position I would choose to defend.
I do think that is a long time for a ban but it seems you dont seem to be getting the picture. You can quit matches on occasion which i do every now and again A majority of the time ill wait out that match its not the serious better then a 24 hour ban.
I’ve reported loads of players this week for quitting. It’s selfish imo.
If you quit that much then you don’t deserve anything less.
However I want to help you.
I am not a hundred percent sure but I believe you will be put in more join in progress matches if you use expanded. If you don’t want that to happen you should try using the default balanced search option.
Again don’t take my word for it as I’m not entirely sure but it might be worth trying out.

Keeps quitters from playing with me and ruining my matches. Seems to work pretty well I’d say. Only people that don’t benefit from it are the quitters themselves.

Tell that to my 4.7 Warzone KD. Yeah I’m also a stat monger.
A friend of mine got banned for 9 hours cause he lagged put. The time you get for being banned is kinda dumb.
