So on Saturday night Halo forced me to download a 20GB update, but seemingly added no content? Is this the next update that’s been downloaded, just not yet made live? none of my other mates had to do this download?

Its the update. Mine download by auto while i play.
I didnt even get a notice on the last update.
There should be a build number displayed on the main menu screen (top right I think?), let me know what yours says and I’ll check it out for you

Actually, it’s possible your installation / updates could have become corrupted. There has been 20gb worth of updates released since Halo 5 launched. If your install size is around 66GiB then you should be up to date.

Thanks, but that is the Xbox update. it said Halo needs to download an update to play - it’s 20GB in size. Other games worked ok though.

Interesting. wonder how that might have happened? Though my freespace has gone down, which indicates it’s not replaced an old download?
Not entirely sure. If you want, post me the build number anyways and I can still check it out for you. In the mean time, if you go into your games and apps -> Halo 5 and then into manage game using the menu, it should list all the associated DLC you have downloaded. Might be something in there that can tell you, or you could also fire a message over to Xbox Live support and see if they know. They’ll usually have notes about these sorts of issues (at least I’d guess they would)
The following image shows what the issue was: -
As you can see Halo has decided to install itself on both my internal and external HDD?!?!
Hm, that certainly is a new one for me. It might be worth firing that off to Xbox Live support if you wanted to, they might be able to help you figure out what’s going on.
Thanks, yeah they said to uninstall one of them, i’m just going to leave it as I don’t want to have to wait an hour to re-download 20GB of updates to play again!
