can anybody please explain me how to solve the issue of lag ? I am in the west coast and always deal with a constant 40ms latency, although my internet speed has a downlink of 500mbps and uplink of 15mbps, it’s really frustrating when I can see a gunfight that I think I should have clearly won but there are times I am clicking that fire button and nothing happens or strafe in general I feel like there is 200 pound weight on my movement (4-4-3 sens). There are times where I see spartans just teleport. I am at wits end dealing with this for years now. Does xbox even pay attention on server maintenance anymore ? What could be the issue ? Thanks guys for the help, it’s really frustrating.
Have you tried changing your server selection? It’s in the MCC menu. Settings —> Network. Try deselecting all the servers that are above 100 ping. That may help out.

Whoops. Thought I was reading this post in the MCC forums. My apologies. H5 doesn’t have that setting. You can only change your search preferences to Focused (most restrictive), Balanced, or Expanded. Try using Focused. Since you are located in the US, you should still be able to find matches relatively quickly.

It depends on your opponents connection also, and what server you’re playing on in the current match.
I have a constant latency of 40ms and I can really feel the frustration.
