Just like last year on March 4th, the high level Halo Wars community is asking for another leaderboard reset. The game really got new life in the weeks after the reset. It was fun to see who got to the top in the shortest amount of time. Why not do it again this year? The games population is reaching all time lows, and this reset could put a spark back into the population of the game that we all love.
Last year, I believe someone contacted BSAngel after support in a thread grew. Whoever did that last year should definitely do it again this year.
Benefits:
-Population spike
-Fresh start for players
-Gets rid of all the boosted accounts on the front pages in multiple playlists
-Lets players mess around with new strategies for a few weeks before the reset
-New enjoyment for new and old players
-Brings back older players to the game that haven’t played in years
-Many more that I can’t think of right now. Comment below with more.

I’m posting for myself and on behalf of many of the people I play Halo Wars with, we would all like to see another leaderboard reset.
As old as the game is, many people still enjoy it and there is still significant growth to the high level community with new players that are still showing strong interests at avidly putting in the time and commitment to develop a high level aptitude for the game.
with many of the top spots on the leaderboard taken by boosted accounts and account of inactive players, this makes it very difficult for a player to climb to the higher rungs. A leaderboard reset would give the new players a chance to prove themselves while possibly bringing back older players to defend their rightful spots.
So if there is anyone out there that knows the right people to contact, could you please link them to this thread.
That’s because everyone (by everyone I mean most mid-high level players) that uses forums uses halowarslegion.
But agreed on the 0 population bug fix. If they want to do a legitimate bug fix update to the game, the high level community is more than willing to provide 343 with all the bugs. If they were willing, we could also advise on simple (well I guess simple, but I have no idea how hard it really is on their end) map design flaws.
A few off the top of the head include:
-1 reactor killing your marine on Frozen Valleys (3s) and Terminal (2s)
-Starred flood at 1 free reactor on Pirth (1s) and normal flood on the other side
-More crates on the left side of docks in comparison to the right on one supply drops (also many other uneven supply drops that could be specified if needed)
Fixing even a few of these could really add to the game and how fair it is. While they seem simple in theory, these differences play a large role in deciding high level games. But this isn’t the topic for this thread, I’m just saying… ya know. We all know the odds of a real update are ever so slim, but it would be cool to see this game get the big update it really needs to smooth things out after all these years.

Somebody should make a GoogleDoc for a bug-fix wishlist. Legion members can add to it; then we send it to whoever.

Btw the 5th anniversary of Halo Wars is today, not tomorrow. It would be awesome if the leaderboards would actually be reset today, on March 3rd.
