2012 Video Game Awards - my predictions!

Halo 4 is nominated in 5 categories tonight and 343 is up for Studio of the year. My predictions for the winners are highlighted in yellow:

[/li]- Best Graphics - Assassin’s Creed III, Dishonored, Halo 4, Journey

  • Best Original Score - Black Ops II, Halo 4, Journey, Max Payne 3
  • Best Multi-player Game - Borderlands 2, Black Ops II, Guild Wars 2, Halo 4
  • Best Shooter - Borderlands 2, Black Ops II, Halo 4, Max Payne 3
  • Best Xbox 360 Game - Assassin’s Creed III, Borderlands 2, Dishonored, Halo 4
  • Studio of the Year - 343, Arkane, Gearbox, Telltale

As for Game of the Year (a category in which Halo 4 has not been nominated), I think it will go to Mass Effect 3

I think Game of the Year will go to either Halo 4, Mass Effect 3, or Assassins Creed 3.

man the music in halo 4 is utter tripe, the only good bit was in the war games menu but by god it annoyed me after an hour.music in a multiplayer game lobby not a good idea

if halo 4 wins any awards then the whole thing is a fix

Those predictions are all awful. Halo 4 shouldn’t be up for any awards and neither should BO2. Borderlands 2, I’m okay with.

If Mass Effect 3 gets game of the year I’m quitting video games. It will have officially shown me that this industry has reached its lowest point and will never be able to improve. Everything about the game brimmed with the sad stench of “sellout.”

Because they took over the development of a known property and have seamlessly added on to one of the most beloved stories in all of gaming? That could be a reason.

oh and don’t forget about “streamlined” a.k.a dumb it down, cause they think gamers are too stupid to handle complex games

NVM. Read that as “It shouldn’t be about winning awards” somehow.
Whether or not Halo 4 wins any awards isn’t up to us unless the award itself is meant to be given by us. Otherwise they have a panel to judge what nominees deserve what.

Almost forgot… Master Chief is up for Character of the Year in a Viewers Choice award, but I think Clap Trap from Borderlands 2 will take that prize.

TWD has been nominated for GotY at the VGAs.
Halo 4 DESERVES the Best XBox 360 game award. In my opinion, awards for a specific console should only be awarded to exclusives on that console.

Best multi-player game should go to Halo 4 as well. Black Ops II is just the same old recycled crap from last year. And the year before that. And the year before that…

Halo 4 is definitely one of the best out there! I would say Halo 4 or Borderlands 2.

Wow that’s great, people like you can’t recognize that most games like this have problems. The story and graphics in this game were great, it should at least win those awards.
