Can we have some more arena maps available please? It’s become monotonous playing the same maps over and over again, other playlists have other maps available.
Currently arena offers:
Powerhouse, Reflection, Zealot, Boardwalk, Countdown, Swordbase, Asylum, Uncaged, Synapse, Kingdom, Enclosed, Select. 2 extra from the map packs as well.
The above sounds like a lot, but it’s not often that the arena players get to experience all of these maps - normally it’s just 4-5 repeated over and over again and there’s no reason to not add other appropriate maps that are in other playlists.
Certain maps are not going to be suitable for arena (too big), so let’s compile a list of possibilities, starting with:
“The Pit” - as played in MLG
The return of “Pinnacle”
Let’s hear some requests - not whether a map is “good or bad” in your opinion - remember other gamers are going to have other opinions.
Are those maps available to play in other playlists or have been re-created for reach?
With the focus on halo 4, I don’t think 343 are not going to recreate older maps for us to play. This is a request for pre-existing maps to be placed in the arena playlist. Whether from 343 themselves or re-creations using forge.
So far:
The Pit - playable in mlg
Pinnacle - taken out of arena
Battle Canyon - playable in doubles
Penance, Damnation and Hang 'em High, Beaver Creek have been mentioned does anybody know if they have been re-created for reach and are available in another playlist already?

They are available to play in any of the Anniversary playlists and also in the new Squad DLC playlist.

Pinnacle was taken out of Arena because it was way too easy for Blue team to get PW control and map control right off the spawn. And since nobody bothers to fix initial spawn locations it just created an unfair advantage. I’m all for adding the CEA maps previously mentioned as well as The Pit, although that might be an MLG exclusive since it was built by the ppl at MLG who forge maps for competition and the playlist. So glad to see they finally put the TU in Arena, I’m in the middle of a month-long hiatus from Reach, has there been a spike in the population since they made the change?

Before the TU, there were aroun 500-700 from what I generally saw. Over the past few days, I have seen Arena consistently around 1,000. So it has sorta doubled its population from the TU. We will have to wait a little longer to see if it holds up though.
yes,arena definetly needs more maps added,there doesnt seem to be that many people playing arena and i think this is one reason.
i think it is the only one competitive playlist as you actually have something to work to i.e. silver,gold etc.even if it does dissapear at the end of the season.
its just getting boring so it needs more maps.
i personally liked pinnacle an would like it back,and the pit etc.why not bungie/343 or whatever.
you get far less people quitting out on arena as they know it affects there rank,thats also why i play it,if you play some of the other playlists people just quit out willy nilly and it ruins it.

“The Pit” would be a fantastic addition, If that does not work, bring back “Rebirth”. This map played a lot like “The Pit” and should have never been removed from the Arena playlist.
Definite support. Put in the MLG versions of Sanctuary and the Pit, as well as some of the DLC. Pennace, Battle Canyon and a modified Anchor 9 is a good start. There are Forge World remakes of previous Halo maps that could pass, such as Prophet, which was the Midship/Heretic remake for the first Team Classic.

Now this is starting to sound a much more exciting playlist.
Do you think they will add more maps? I really don’t see why not. Its about fun as well and arena is Deffo not fun at the moment. And not many people even play it any more. I say put all maps in.
