Halo sells Xboxes. Making Halo Multiplayer F2P effectively means if you’re not on PC it’s another reason to buy an Xbox as the platform effectively comes with Halo Multiplayer.
Totally agree. I want to be able to earn my armour. Bad enough that my 152 reward is broken but the lack of earnable content in Infinite is frustrating and depressing at the same time. Plus I already supported them with the campaign so I shouldn’t be forced to deal with the endless insane priced items.
You paid for the campaign, a voluntary exchange of money for specific goods.
That has nothing to do with optional multiplayer cosmetics nobody is forcing you to buy.
The campaign is very lacking, and that’s even without considering that two-thirds of the game were cut, and it has "Armor Locker"s that might have originally had actual armor unlocks, going by what article writers with the preview campaign have said.
Not only that, but in the past, a majority of the main series Halo games, and even some spin-offs, have given armor unlocks (many for the main games).
While I’m okay with paying reasonable prices (which they aren’t right now, by far) for reasonable cosmetics (not very limited ones like right now), people who buy the campaign should be given “free” access to a good amount of armor and other cosmetics (on a par with the Halo game that has included the most cosmetic unlocks).
