Gamescome’s Xbox conference has come to an end and some new Halo 5 maps have been revealed. We know twenty of them are coming at launch, so how many still need to be revealed? We know six of these maps will be Warzone and three of them will be for Forge, leaving the rest for Arena/BTB.
Forge maps do not count towards the twenty launch maps however, I will keep forge on the list because they will still be available at launch.
No BTB maps at launch
NOTE: We do not have any clue whether or not BTB maps will count towards the fifteen free DLC maps
Please update me with anything I missed or made an error on.
I hope forge canvases do not count towards the map count, I know that is a false hope though. I am also crossing my fingers for BTB to not count towards the starting map count since it won’t launch until a week after the games release. Again, probably a false hope.

Just know that some will be better then others due to them being from the beta vs being from the new MP trailer and videos shown today. And Apex 7 will use concept art until we see it in-game. It was that or the Mega Bloks recreation and while that’s awesome, I think the concept art will better suite this list.
I also had to use my phone (an iPhone 4 because I’m poor) since my laptop is broken and Chromebooks are horrible for screenshots.
Regret is still the best-looking map I’ve seen in H5… I’ll chalk that up to most live footage in general looking awful, and dark environments making it hard to see, though I can’t help but feel like the overused ‘white with stripes’ stuff they keep pulling on human structures is largely to blame.

I have a feeling that there will be more than 2 remixed maps. I bet the last 3 arena maps will be remixes of the 3/4 new maps showcased: Plaza, The Rig, Coliseum, and Fathom.
If not all 3 than at least 2 of them. I hope I’m wrong and they’re all completely different and unique settings.

It’s possible but the idea of remixing seemed to have been negatively received by the community so perhaps they scrapped the others and made new maps. We still need BTB on top of it and with Guardian’s focus on 4v4 Arena, three BTB maps seem to be possible. H2A was doing fine with three so it’s not insane for 5. Warzone is the social experience, yes, but not everyone wants the loadouts and weapon variations and other features of Warzone but, they do want big open maps with a more classic feel. 343i can’t neglect this crowd.
