Can someone please clarify that the price is correct, are we actually being asked to pay £20 for 14 REQ packs? I’m not against reqs and packs, but £20?? That’s absolutely outrageous and not even close to being worth the money, that’s pretty much half the cost of the base game new, or exactly the same as what Halo 5 is typically sold for now. Unbelievable.

Yeah I suppose so, I was tempted to buy it because I don’t get to play online that much and I haven’t really unlocked any decent armour, even after 600 matches… but there’s no way in hell I’m paying £20 for a few cosmetic items that can be earned

I got that through the Limited Edition of Halo 5 which was bought for me for my birthday so I had no idea of the price, its disgusting
I wouldn’t say disgusting. I think its quite tasty actually, I just bought it and I love the Mark V alpha armor

Well yeah, you’re paying for a shortcut to paid content. OF COURSE its a ripoff, you’re paying to save time not to unlock items.
Here or there, it’s all within someones opinion if they want to pay for something or not to.

Makes prefect sense to me. I wont be buying it but I understand the decision. And wasn’t the Warzone pack, the same price?
Games make a bunch of money on release, but have to continue to pay there employee’s to make the next game which will be coming out in say 3 years. They have to keep the bank funded some how. Paid DLC is the most common, and you are paying for additional content, content which you can not access without paying the additional price.
Halo 5 is using micro transactions for Req Cards, almost all of which everyone will have access to at some point because it seems only the Armor is unique, while I want it, it doesn’t bother me. So when they release new maps, new modes they do it without a price. This is a better system.
We get new maps without having to pay for them, and the system is set up in a way that “pay to win” is not a factor, sure if you pay you may have 25 cards for the Mantis, but how many of them are you going to be able to use in the same game? and they all can still be taken down with a single grenade.
It is definitely a ripoff but its optional and doesn’t split the player base so its not the worst.
So then don’t buy it. As you said, it’s nothing that can’t be obtained in the game already. Making a thread to complain about it is completely unwarranted.
