2 x Questions about the Arena mode called BreakOut

  1. During the beta, BreakOut featured a reduced shields type of game play on perfectly balanced ultra competitive maps. Would we also like to see full shield variations in this Arena type game mode? Or are we happy with stricktly reduced shields on these maps & modes?

  2. Are we REALLY happy with the Arena mode being called “Breakout”? Especially when u consider that the beginning of each match features Spartans breaking IN rather than breaking OUT.

Personally, I would prefer the Breakout name be changed simply to “Arena” which I think is much easier to remember, fits the look of the game type perfectly and sounds way more pro!

If I had it my way, I would change the name of “BreakOut” to “Arena”
And I would invent another highly Competetive arena map for the game mode and would name the actual map it self “BreakOut”.

Or are we as a majority happy with the Arena mode being labeled as “BreakOut” instead of Arena?

Thoughts on Questions 1 & 2 guys?

Well, Arena seems to be their term for all normal sized h5 multiplayer. Presumably in contrast to their new big multiplayer mode.

Breakout is kind of an odd name though.

Yeah I sort of see what ur saying.
I think they should make BreakOut more of a big deal than they already have and then emphasise that when they talk about Arena type maps they prodominantly are talking about break out. While Maps like Empire should STILL be built arena sized & have balance & remain just as good, but not be stereotyped as “Arena maps”.
The break out mode should be Stereotyped vigourously as Arena style & while casual maps are built with arena in mind, the emphasis on those maps being called arena should not be as stressed!

That way we can have more emphasis on the one mode being seen as a higher competition type mode instead of muddying the water

  1. I think lower shields is the point, not sure if it would work as well with full shields.

  2. I like the name Breakout, the name Arena is a little more generic and could also be confused with the Arena multiplayer in general.
