So true. If the trailers and hype are anything to go by, this will be one of the most satisfying reveals in years. But, with the current culture of MTX and GAAS and seeing how the Xbox One games have been not as spectacular as they could have been, I am concerned as well. Still, I am holding on to hope that Infinite will give us what we have been waiting for and maybe 343i will finally be the one to break all the frustrating trends we have seen this generation.
I’m trying not to spread the hype to my friends and family until after the Xbox event. I don’t want to seem like i was excited about Halo Infinite if the gameplay looks like garbage on the 23rd.

From what I can tell, Infinite represents 343i’s return to the drawing board after Halo 5. My guess is that they realized they couldn’t keep the game on the same track from Halo 4, and especially 5. The soul of the franchise became too muddied so they needed to reinvent the ip in a sense. It’s no coincidence it took them this long to come up with a new game, there must have been a major change in direction, alongside the pressure of needing to be the next big thing for Xbox and such. I suspect they will have reverted to a more classical design philosophy in the need to re-imagine the feel of the original trilogy.

I hope you’re right. Halo has been lost since 3.
Woo! Hype train has arrived. All aboard.
If I were to balance the excitement and concern together, it will level out to 0, but that’s not because I’m not interested, it’s just that both emotions go 10 in either direction so therefore meets in the middle.
Ugh, I gotta wait until the 23rd? Dagnabbit that’s too long!
Definitely a 10, can’t wait for the reveal ! I heard something about a playable demo during the reveal but idk if that’s true or not, guess 343 will have something in store.
10 looking forward to this
Looking forward to it im hyped to see the campaign
Considering that 5 years of wait is gonna culminate in one event I’m a little apprehensive. After playing H5 grinding for 152 I’ve grown innately familiar with all of its short comings and stumbles revolving its multiplayer. The event descriptions says its only concerned about Campaign, which disappoints me a bit. H5s direction was terrible, and H6 has the huge dishonor of following up that story so I don’t feel particularly confident in that department. I have the feeling they are going to try to sweep as much of the H5 story under the rug and flounder about with the story, but hoping I’m to be proven wrong.
I’m so excited for this, like more so than for any other game, let alone a halo game. I know this may sound sad but halo has had such an impact on my life whether it be the fact that I’m going into programming games, the fantastic memories of playing all the campaigns (that I could) with my brother in split-screen, playing customs with my brother and our friends, or simply the late nights sitting on the menu and just being mesmerised by the music. My hype levels are up to the moon.
That being said, I’m also worried. Not that I won’t like the game, just that it won’t get an overall good reception so less people will play it and get to experience those same feelings and memories that I’ve experienced thanks to this franchise.

I’m also extremely worried. I’ve been away from Halo for so long. This is their chance to get me, and everybody else, back on board. I know they can do it!!
I actually believe 343i will deliver an exceptional Halo game this time around, but, my hype is firmly in check until the whole picture is revealed. Campaign, multiplayer and monetisation, with the latter being my biggest concern.
I am so excited to see the official gameplay footage from the upcoming Halo Infinite on July 23rd. I am still hoping that 343 Industries will show at least 10 or 15 minutes of gameplay footage from the Halo Infinite campaign levels.
Excited and frustrated at the same time, but much more concerned.
I’ll say i’ll give a 10 for my level of excitement. Word has it that the reveal is going to open the Microsoft event and be campaign focused though which fills me with confidence
