Does anyone knows if halo 4 has a second sniper rifle?
Like halo 3 had with the beam rifle…
Maybe a forerunner sniper rifle?

A forerunner sniper rifle would be extremely cool. Perhaps it could be lightweight and quick to act as a foil to the UNSC sniper.

It sounds probable but there is the lightrifle (forerunner). It’s alot like a battle rifle sort of gun and there is alot of those. There will be the lightrifle, battle rifle, DMR, and carbine all in one game and very similar to each other, so another sniper would create alot of long/ mid range one shot guns.

It uses a charge system like the splazer.
The railgun is like the Gauss Warthog’s Turret, just in a handheld rifle. You charge it for a second or two, and a gauss round/railgun round flies infinitely stright from the gun. It is an anti-infantry weapon, will not be neraly as good for vehicles as the Spartan Laser or the Gauss Warthog Turret.

pretty sure thats a light rifle, though it has those “Rails” on it. So it may be a sniper.

That’s most likely the Light Rifle when it’s still attached to a Promethean Knight. Remember what 343 said: Forerunner weapons will reform themselves base on the user.
Thinking about it.
We got the needler, plasma weapons, carbine. All covi. weapons.
So why no the beam rifle?
And what if they put the beam rifle in multiplay, would a forerunner sniper and the UNSC one be to much?

The scope looks pretty small. And the scope for the human sniper too big.

That’s a side view of the Light Rifle. I wouldn’t classify it as a sniper.
