Mainly feedback, constructive criticism for the state of the game, issues I’m noticing with challenges and the market for the devs who can actually do something, not random players but join in if you want, cause for the market it can only get fixed the more players speak
But I’m a player who has spent a good penny on the market and others complaining broke the market

Part 1. The market:The current state of the market has gotten worse, bundles are gone cause people complained so much now it’s to small to function as needed
Simple fix, have more tabs on the market kinda like the HCS Offers, or even better make past items available through customize menu, so if you see something you want that has been out (like example estate gold which is out now) but you miss the sale, make it available to just buy with credits from there, thus why bundles are a better deal and buy, so you can buy the bundle and the item itself will be cheaper cause all the extras, but if you buy it solo of course there might be a premium, but even now the value for in game items is just to much, like estate gold is 600 credits which 300 is reasonable not 600, bundles should come back but they could make it 1000 to 1500

So in short 343 make every past option that was sold available to buy through customize (people won’t like it but at a slight mark up, 700 for armor coatings, 900 for helmets, 500 for shoulders, emblems 500, and so on but something like that)
Bundles need to come back as the market is to limited as was, push bundles for a value saver because end of it all if you buy each item separate you should see savings of at least 500 credits

Part 2. The challenges: you got to stop with this ultimate challenge playlist focused bs, it’s already bad enough to get something like capture the flag, but score 3 flags on top of that in ranked, the same ranked that is known to be full of cheating players, really needs to stop cause stuff like this is going to drive away current players. You guys said challenges will be set for your own play style so this is why swaps became a thing, then force people to play a playlist they don’t even want to touch, doing a task that is enough to get on seasoned players nerves, challenges should be whatever but ultimate challenges should never be playlist focused or objective focused, wins sure, wins in a playlist sure, that makes sense but objective based ones that you have no guarantee to even get that match type needs to end now, this has to be the final week for this nonsense, the reward itself isn’t even worth the headache, we are talking 1 to 10 ranked matches just to get capture the flag on top of that in ranked, what bs and the reward is a stupid backdrop that no one thinks is good
The weekly ultimate for me and i assume others is the only reason i come back (that and the market which i check daily) battle pass level 100 with 3 months to go until season 2 (which seasons NEED to be shorter been 100 for a month at least) which long seasons will end up also killing the game

Also side note the boost and swap pack needs a rework, currently you get 2 xp boosts and 2 swaps for 200, there should be xp only and swaps only, cause i find myself wanting to swap challenges and go buy some swaps, which now i have like 58 xp boosts, don’t need or want more, so this needs a rework bad, so either drop the price to 100 or do the 3 types of boosts packs

This is my feedback of major issues I’m seeing now, as i said I’m someone who has and will put money into the game, who plays weekly, who gets on daily, but these changes need to be made or i can see players leave, all you’ll have is the players who only play to play left which isn’t a bad thing but currently the player count is dropping and crap like this weekly ultimate are going to drive away more players

Side side note, when coop is released i would recommend a pve challenge section, kinda like MCC currently has, this would give more xp to boost challenges but keep players grinding which is what any game devs should want at the end of the day

For me looking different is a plus, even if i have to pay a little extra, also grinding the challenges is fun when they are doable, but I’m not willing to do the ranked playlist just for the small chance capture the flag comes up with no guarantee I’ll even get to capture it, then even if i get it once, there is no guarantee I’ll get to score it all 3 times, then having to play a playlist i dont want no part of (same goes with quickplay) until capture the flag comes up again, objective challenges are trash and aren’t fun to grind for, especially when each match is random which is my biggest issue

If I’m not mistaking, 343 already mentioned that they are working on expanding the Shop. The UI seems to cause some trouble here.

Sure cause the current state of the shop is trash, players complained about the prices, then they took single items which would still equal the standard price, what players wanted was a price decrease while keeping the same content, then players wanted the ability to buy items by themselves
Which somehow we got this crap we are in now

With my idea is kinda like MCC season thing, you can do what players are crying about by buying directly from the custom menu, see a helmet you like buy it for X credits, missed something you get a chance to buy it again, this way everyone is happy, plus the market bundles should be at a reduced price cause if you miss the items you’ll have to go and either buy them at the single price or hope the item bundle comes back

This option is kinda the only thing 343 can do that makes sense, it’s a win win for them, they will get the money from players who didn’t want to spend 2000 credits on a bundle for 1 item and people who missed items for whatever reason can still collect the items they want

I’ll be afraid to see what crazy idea they think will fix the shop now lol

nobody asked for a shop, nobody wanted a shop and not many like the shop…the whole f2p, battlepass and challenges is carefully constructed to make it more likely you will spend money which has totally ruined Halo franchise for me. Even the Premium Battle pass is in your face telling you to buy it. Realizing that people want the exclusive and rare stuff they have put this all behind a paywall instead of rewards for playing. Funny how we now have swaps which are limited and you have to pay for more, funny now how we have ridiculous challenges. Previous Halos just had sensible challenges which were more focused on grinding, thats why we have no proper progression or stats

Seems fair. I’d love to see the numbers on how many people are buying bundles over individual items, and what items they want from the bundles specifically, but this should’ve been tested in beta, not today.

I wholeheartedly agree with your reasoning except for, quote, “that in ranked, the same ranked that is known to be full of cheating players,” is hyperbole and unnecessary. Call out cheating, but don’t tar the entire ranked community with the same brush as those cheating within it. For context, I say this as someone who - like you claim to be - values constructive feedback, and I’m not a ranked player at all (though will be starting shortly for the purposes of achievements and challenges.)

There is absolutely no reason for the ranked players to want to play with casuals who want challenge stuff. Challenges don’t really have a place in ranked modes because they encourage people to get XP rather than focus on improving their - and their teammates’ - ranking. This only leads me to scratch my head as to what 343 Industries’ thought process is, and is symptom of a much larger problem.

Or just give them for free as part of challenge rewards rather than paying for them, and turning XP Boosts into Tier Skips (there are 100 tiers of shocking amounts of padding; the 100th is a ‘Legendary’ Bracer? Really?!)

There was more swaps and xp boosts in the BP originally but were replaced with “padding” due to excessive complaints about there not being enough “stuff”…either way the system is designed as a money making scheme and makes me feel more emphasis is put into the “shop” than actually producing a truly great Halo experience

Yet we have one so, it’s broken currently

I’m hopimg the right dev or admin sees this cause right now everything especially this week is busted

But yes you should get swaps and xp boosts for completing the weekly ultimate at least, but currently the bundle they have when you want just xp boosts or swaps, they kinda force you to get both, i rather be able to just buy swaps

And for weeks like this the ultimate needs to be swappable

I think one of the major issues is the battle pass is to long, with the beta phase, 6 months for a battle pass is a bit much, even non rockstar, non paying free to play should be able to get to the end of the battle pass in 3 months 4 tops, with shorter bp more rewards and keeps things fresh, currently it is getting stagnate and we still have 3 months to go before even coop and season 2

First time in 20 years playing Halo, I put the controller down after only 2 weeks playing Infinite…that tells me something is drastically wrong…I paid full price for the campaign and i cant even play co op or replay missions…have to wait…Multiplayer is full of Neon Mohawk Samurai’s and I’m sure they are laughing at me in my Mark VI Helmet, finished the battle pass, haven’t even got a warzone or firefight type mode to jump into and get some multikills. SMH

Ya it’s a shame we got to wait till may for that, i do gamepass so i play through that, from what i hear they are going to make mission replay a thing soon which should of been in the game at launch, same with coop
A simple fix for the coop save issue is when someone leaves the area the coop player spawns on them

Ya no one is saying there isn’t major issues with infinite as is, but how you not have the samuri armor, it was a free armor for completing challenges, same with the mohawk which i got week 1 and they gave 2 weeks to complete

Sounds like you just don’t play that much then complain stuff is locked behind actually playing the game and completing challenges
I get why people don’t like the pay wall but it’s better than the rng of halo 5, at least now you see what you’re getting

BUT season 2 is suppose to be able to earn credits which i think they should do before season 2 cause they are hemorrhaging players right now
I’m thinking 500 a week for completing the weekly ultimate so players can save without slowly just making it to easy

Question, do you have premium? How many hours have you put into the game?

Yes i had premium which just boosted me to 25, I’m not sure how many hours i put in but this will be the first week i didn’t finish all my challenges so easily over 24hrs maybe 80hrs

But i know someone in real life who didn’t pay for anything, and with just the free xp boosts got to 100 a few days ago so I’m not sure what your questions have to do with anything, just work on challenges and 100 in 3 months is possible easily

And if S2 hadn’t been delayed, we would be getting S2 on Feb 14. or the week after prob.
The BP progression is fine, it is just fast for those who pay for premium

Well end of the day most people i play with are bp 100, and as i said my free to play friend who i work with in real life managed to get 100 with just the free double xp boosts, even if i didn’t go premium which i wish i didn’t i would still be lv 100, if someone cant get to rank 100 in 3 months that’s on them, finish your challenges every week and it is easy

I reached lvl 100 a week ago, f2p.
I am saying, the progression is fine, premium players only finish their BP early because they get a free 25 levels

Then what was the back and forth even about lol, all I’m saying long seasons (anything more than 3 months) will hurt the game

They can easily have a small team design and make items for the passes, i get what’s actually holding back the seasons is technical difficulties like the savings in coop (which can be solved 2 ways, 1 if players get to far apart they teleport to the host, or if they leave the part of the map the host is on they can’t, so if the host is in the first section and the 2nd player runs off and tries to go to the 3rd section they would be teleported back, a warning can pop up if the 2nd player goes to far from the host, i personally prefer the distance from the host, maybe 100km or meters (I’m not sure which is greater, thanks US education system))
Forge is also a simple fix, just import the Reach forge mode with items from later titles (reach had the best forge in my opinion, halo 5 was not good at all) then add updates to improve and add items as needed

But 343 keeps dropping the ball :roll_eyes:

100km is 100,000 meters is 62 miles (miles I looked up)

That’s what the seasons are, 3 months.

It isn’t just copy paste, they are rebuilding forge from the ground up to make it incredible.
Yeah, it should’ve been here at launch, or even S2, but it isn’t.

You get what i mean, draw a good circle around the host, you leave that circle you spawn on the host, give plenty of space hints why i said 100km lol but think the starting area where you first get to go outside where the crashed ship is, the area that is empty next to it, put circle that whole area maybe more and that’s what i mean
