2 things we can all agree on

HUD DESIGN AND CYCLING GRENADES

Grenades.
This has been brought up before and it really does need improvement. Second time playing the flight and i just dont bother trying to pick a grenade i want. Even when i watch youtube videos ive never seen anyone successfully switch grenades during a gunfight, nobody does during the heat of a battle. This doesnt be a problem when fighting an enemy player though, you just throw any grenades you have and hope for the best. With Vehicles on the other hand and the anticipation of BTB, being able to switch to sticky grenades so that you can stick a vehicle shouldn’t be difficult at all and can be crucial for gameplay. The D-pad has 5 different mechanics crammed into 4 buttons, resulting that D-pad :arrow_left: isnt really “to cycle through grenades” when pressed it opens up a sub menu! that brings up two buttons choices to pick which grenade… this is unnecessary and i have no idea how it made it into to this build of the game. So its difficult to see 343 NOT improving this. At the moment we have
D-pad  helmet light/mark
D-pad :arrow_right: drop weapon
D-pad  A.I. scan
D-pad :arrow_left: sub menu!!!
Out of all these mechanics the most obvious choice to remap is DROP WEAPON!! This should be removed from the D-pad because its terrible while being in a gunfight. It should be a two button combination. Drop weapon should be LB + RB or to press the two thumbsticks somthing that is simple. This is already a lot better.
D-pad  helmet light/mark
D-pad :arrow_right: cycle grenade
D-pad  A.I. scan
D-pad :arrow_left: cycle grenade
This would be greatly optimised for gameplay for campaign and definitely for multiplayer.

HUD
We can all agree that the Heads Up Display needs improvement. Having everything crammed into the bottom right corner isnt good and the two top corners are left empty. I think that the top corners are empty is mainly because of campaign? During the 2020 gameplay demo. When chief walks out from the pelican and he equips his AR his HUD starts up. Top left has a full list of objectives that pop up and they’re to help guide you through the semi open world of Zeta Halo. I honestly believe that this is unnecessary too! If we need to see objectives in the campaign surely we can have them in the menu when we press start. Or even pop up on screen at the bottom right. So a redesign needs to be improved. Heres an example redsign of the HUD
Top :arrow_left: grenades/equipment
Top  shields
Top :arrow_right: weapons/ammo
Mid :arrow_left: info campaign/MP
Mid :arrows_counterclockwise: reticle
Mid :arrow_right: empty space
Bottom :arrow_left: radar
Bottom⬇️ empty
Bottom :arrow_right: objectives campaign / scoreboard MP

Classic halo we all know.
Its important that we space out whats crammed in the bottom right corner, use the empty spaces and have the classic HUD DESIGN back so we can see with our Peripheral vision.
Having top left be grenades and equipment would be a lot better to easily see what equipment you have or how many grenades your holding and which grenade you have equipped. During the flight i didnt even bother look down at the right corner because it felt unnecessary.
One thing that has to change is ammo information on the screen. I think the reason we have at the moment is a “Number count” of ammunition in a clip is because there isn’t that much space at the bottom right corner. Having the classic way of seeing the bullets in your clips is way better and easier to see in your Peripheral vision and i would want it back. It would be easy for new players to see how many shots you have with a ammo clip being represented with a bar, either by bullets or a battery. Seeing the weapons clip bar deplete in your Peripheral vision is visually better amd quicker to give back info rather than numbers and its classic halo. At the moment i feel the ammo numbers dont help. The new shock rifle is a 4 shot weapon. But the ammo numbers says 20 then when you shoot its then 15? In the heat of a battle when you are in cover and switch to your shock rifle and see 15 you would think i can take out two enemies but then quickly find out you only have 3 shots left. In that spilt second instead of seeing numbers and you saw a battery ammo bar and when shooting seeing the bar deplete you subconsciously know how much ammo is left. Numbers dont give back that quick visual information that you need especially when you have a weapon that has a lot in one clip. Sniper its easy because its 4 shots. With out cheating try and guess how many shots in a clip of the sidkick or commando has and how many clips can you hold?
