A massive fail putting kill cams into Halo 4 when overall Kill cam is stupid idea because who wants to see how someone kicked their -Yoink- and secondly we have theatre mode…
Shuting Down Halo 3 servers
Even more people will be disapointed yo the fact that the day Halo 4 comes out they can’t play through Halo 3s campaign with their friends and then go into halo 4s campaign together following the story n stuff.
1.) Yes, what you raise is true. However, we also may be able to gain strategies from where the opponent is situated when he kills you and what kind of loadout he is using. It also may calm the rage when you learn that your opponent isn’t a “1337 h4ckur lul”. Also, there is always the option to “skip”, they’re not forcing you to watch it. Basically, it’s an addition that is purely beneficial that can be skipped if you don’t like it.
2.) (IF THIS RUMOR IS TRUE) I’m saddened by this too but the game has been out for 5 years. That’s long enough, in my books, and is a great lifetime. However, we now have Halo 4 and Halo Reach to play online. Take that in whatever way you will.
I haven’t seen any news or announcements of 343i shutting down Halo 3’s servers, hell I don’t think that’ll happen until after a year or so after Halo 5 is released on the next Xbox, just like what happened to the Halo 2 Servers.

Halo 2 wasn’t shutdown, the entire original xbox library was shutdown including H2 because of the change in the xbox live system, there’s absolutely no reason to shut H3 down, i’d rather they shut ‘Reach’ down than H3, really can’t see it happening

THEATRE will still have its purpose’s due to the fact that you still need it to do MACHINIMA.
And as for the HALO 3 severs going down after HALO 4, I’m not for it or against it.But HALO 3 is almost a five year old title and that’s about the same time in which they shut down HALO 2 severs.
1- Cry me a river, you have to accept it like everyone else or don’t play the gametypes with them.
2- False info, they intend to keep the servers for H3 up. Its still in the top 20 XBL games, so why would they take it down? Not to mention it really would anger a lot of people. I don’t 343 is that stupid to piss people off right before their game releases.
So basically, this thread is a false rumor and a complaint about killcams (which aren’t uncommon)
They won’t be taking down Halo 3’s servers. This was an old rumor proven wrong. The only reason Halo 2’s servers were taken down because Xbl for original xbox was being taken down overall. Unless XBL is being taken down, then Halo 3’s and Halo Reach’s servers will continue to thrive and prosper until the new xbox is inevitably released.
Just skip if you don’t like it, not that big of a deal.
That’s just a rumor floating around. I don’t look for the server to shut down until Xbox 360 servers shut down. I can still play Lost Planet 1 MM and your lucky to get a game of more than 3 people. I have seen at most 20 people on at one time and the game is still online.
