If I play Team War with a friend of mine who also owns the game. Around half the time we are put into a 3 vs 3 game, which means forced into a game with someone we do not know on our team. This is instead of going into a two vs two game. Why on earth have you decided to have this in place? It mean we repeatedly quit out of the game and restart search until we get a two vs two game, which of course disrupts things for the other players, too.
The whole point of Halo Wars with friends is that you can coordinate together and plan your strategy, and tweak over the games. This obviously is not possible with a stranger on the team.
I cannot believe you did not realise this before implementing the current setup.
Just another thing they need to fix I guess. I have had a somewhat opposite experience. I wanted a 3v3 game while I was not in a party and it repeatedly put me in 2v2 matches.
If you are in a party with friends, it clearly should not add additional people to your team.
Yeah they need to separate the 2v2 and 3v3. Alone gaming I want 3v3 But it’ll only put me in 2v2. Only time I can do 3v3 is with friends which isn’t a whole lot
Definitely needs separate playlists for 2 and 3 player teams. This is a crap idea…
Yea. And the versus AI in my opinion. I like how it’s 3v3 But would like a separate choice for deathmatch/strongholds/domination. Don’t like how it’s random. I personally like deathmatch But I can see from a business point it makes sense to mash them together so your play them all.
they shoulda just made them 2 different playlists.
why be so stingey…
with the lack of players currently playing this game they are forced to match players in whatever game type is being searched for atm. for instance when i search for a 1v1 game it takes around 6-7 minutes before i find an opponent so instead what they do is place players in whatever match needs an extra player at the time
I am not sure about the argument of not having enough population count to have separate playlists. This was not an issue with Halo Wars 1 when it was released, equally, even a couple of months ago it was still possible to matchmake fairly easily in Halo Wars 1’s separate playlists.
I imagine this may be how it stays for casual team games. My guess when they add ranked playlists they will, for obvious reasons, be separated.
