"2 Permanent Unlocks" - Gold REQ Packs Concerns

So as much as I hate this REQ system as I feel like I am earning nothing but just getting lucky when I unlock things, one thing really bothers me above all else about this system; Weapon Certifications.

If you don’t know what this is, it is considered a “Permanent Unlock” in REQ packs for weapons that means you now have a higher chance of receiving more of them in REQ packs. So get a Sniper Rifle certification, more sniper rifles will be in your REQ packs. This is an alright unlock if you like Warzone, but this should not be one of the two PERMANENTS you get from Gold Packs.

I want armor, not more guns. I don’t like playing Warzone, yet 95% of REQ packs are geared for Warzone. There is no Arena REQ packs that benefit the players who like Arena more. Nothing is more disappointing then spending 10k of REQ points to know I can now get more Plasma Cutters which I will never use.

This whole system feels like it was intended to frustrate people into spending real money to buy REQ packs for a game they already payed a minimum of $60 for.

yep, I thought about this too, so I started getting silvers to hopefully get more of the crappy permanent s faster…then do gold later…

I would start grabbing the silver packs to start off like I have. They cost half as much as the gold once and you will be able to lean out a lot of the certifications that way. I have been getting a lot of armor and weapons by buying the silver packs with the in game currency and I think it might not be a bad idea until you feel you hava a higher chance of earning something you want to actually use inside the Gold packs. Please you cant get some of the cool common items like the flaming recruit armor in the Gold packs.

This is something I surely hope they address. You really shouldn’t be able to get common certifications from Gold packs.

They could also provide a REQ pack that just unlocks armor. Heck it can even be way more expensive than a gold pack. I totally understand the random card packs, but I also understand letting a player have a little bit more control in the RNG game.

That’s precisely what it’s supposed to do, that’s the only reason Microtransactions ever sell.

In reference to the rest I agree, a weapon/skin pack would be nice for people who mainly play Arena. Here’s a pro tip though: avoid gold packs entirely for now, stick mainly to silver packs. 2 permanent unlocks in silver packs too abd they’re only 5k so 4 permanent cards for the price of a gold pack.

Now I want a dead space themed REQ set.

Stick with silver until most if not all certifications are pulled.

Id recommend you don’t play Destiny

You are also in the vast minority of gamers here. The gripe most people have with req’s is they get worthless armor, not guns

i’m the opposite, i want guns, not armor. i don’t care at all about the armor and it’s basically all i ever get. different color versions of the same armor or helmet i already have. got excited yesterday that a finally got a weapon unlock, but it was the plasma pistol, how fun!

So sell the stuff you don’t need, I’ve plenty of useless packs like 20 mongoose’s, then trade all the stuff I don’t want and get a Gold REQ for permanent unlocks.

Well I don’t really enjoy Warzone which is what the whole REQ system is geared towards. A lot of my friends as well would rather stick to Arena. Unfortunately there is no REQ packs geared towards people who play mostly arena.

I’m at SR 16 and I’ve gotten about 3 pieces of armor from probably a solid 12 gold packs. But man if you need a mongoose ride, I’ve got you covered for the rest of the life of this game.

Sell the cards you don’t need and buy more packs, you don’t need to spend any real money at all. I can’t tell you how many packs I’ve bought by simply selling crap I don’t need or would ever use. Just yesterday I sold forty random weapon common cards and that totaled up to about 4,000 points.

Well you already have the Venator armor, now for some weapons

Let’s be honest, the whole REQ system is a mess.

I have all the armour I want and I wish I could tick a box saying please don’t give me any more armours.

My only issue with this lies with the premium packs (Warzone REQ Bundle), because they do the exact same thing. Not really “worth it” in my mind if I’m getting common and uncommon certifications from that. Should be more like Ultra Rare - Legendary from that one.

I hope 343i addresses this issue sooner rather than later, they should offer a remedy to those who bought the premium bundle because of this.

I like the cert unlocks.
Urban Warthog wrecks shop

I have only gotten armor and weapon skins 27 helmets and 17 armor pieces and 4 visor also lucked out and got a weapon skin for every gun. SRT 27 diamond division In slayer swat and breakout

Buy only silver for a while, exhaust the common-rare pool, so that way, all the Special Certs and Armor/Skins/Visors/etc. come to you
