2 New Vehicles

Hello

I don’t know if the 2 new vehicles are the Mammoth or the Cyclops II(Mantis), but if not, I would like to share these ideas and allow you to post your own.

For the 2 new vehicles, one should be UNSC and the other Covenant, as it has already been confirmed by Frankie a while back there will be no Promethean vehicles.]

The UNSC vehicle needs to be one that a single person can both drive and fire with, like the ghost or chopper, as the UNSC has a lack of one-man vehicles that can do damage with weapons, the only 2 I can think of are the Scorpion or the Hornet in MM, or the Falcon in Campaign. If the Cyclops is indeed a new vehicle to MM and the one 343i are talking about, then it would fit the role very well. My suggestion for the new UNSC vehicle would be an a cross between the Revenant in terms of seating (one passenger, one driver/gunner)with something more powerful than the chaingun but less than a gauss and than has a lower rate of fire but is not single shot, perhaps like this that are on naval ships that fire sort of 3-4 round/shells per second. This way it would be less similar to the warthog and more like a unique vehicle of its own. the controls to drive it would have to be like the scorpion so it can be driven and aimed at the same time I cant find a picture to show you what i mean but just think of a UNSC Revenant, with a small, but powerful turret, instead of a mortar.

For the Covenant, i propose the opposite, as the Covenant, in my opinion, has an over abundance of one man vehicles, the only vehicles that weren’t was the Spectre and the Prowler. So, as a lot of the community have been asking, we need another, or an equivalent to the, spectre. a vehicle which has to have 2 men to be an attacking force, one driving, one gunning, like the before mentioned vehicles.

This is just what i think so feel free to post your own ideas.

The new vehicles for H4 are probably finished now but this is just what i think they need to be and if they aren’t, hey, we still have to more games to pour our ideas into.

I think that the UNSC vehicle should be the SP42 Cobra form Halo wars

I just hope there’s a vehicle close to the covenant specter, miss that thing from Halo 2.

Here is a video showing my idea of the turret, used by the driver, so imagine no man shooting it.

I’m thinking that the Mantis is one of the new vehicles (it is in no way shape or form a Cyclops, just so you know). It hasn’t been confirmed to be usable in MM yet, but it definitely could be. The Mammoth doesn’t look drivable, other then the turret, so I think that’s out. Who knows what the other new vehicles could be.

I have doubts that the Mammoth and Mantis are the 2 new vehicles. Firstly, I consider it highly unlikely that the Mammoth will actually be driveable - it’s just too overpowered if you ask me. Maybe for a short stint in campaign, but probably not in MM. The Mantis has been stated to be only driveable in campaign, so I don’t think it’s actually considered a “new” vehicle. I mean, the Fuel Rod Shades and MAC Gun were only useable in campaign in Reach, and they weren’t considered “new” vehicles.

I think what could be interesting would be a vehicle with no passengers or gunners, which allows the driver to use the weapon he was previously using before getting on-board. Basically,he would be firing his weapon while driving. This could be a little OP if he had a rocket launcher or plasma pistol before getting in, but still, I think it’s a pretty interesting idea.

A vehicle that has 2 passenger seats, like the Specter or Prowler, would be great too.

Something like the Revenant - with its unique one-passenger, guns-controlled-by-driver operation, could also be explored further.

A new air vehicle, which serves the role of a bomber, could work. It would basically be very slow, and have no anti-air capacity besides a turret, but be able to drop bombs on ground foes for high destructive power.

I think a mech that could work in Halo would be one similar to a MJOLNIR suit in terms of mobility and agility, but enhances armor and strength. It would have a jetpack and thruster pack for quick navigation, a machine gun on one hand and a railgun on the other (controlled by the respective triggers), and the ability to perform melees, and assassinations.

Driving the Mantis should be quite interesting.

The source is a leak, which the link cannot be posted, but it was in the french oxm saying so. Just have a little google, not that hard to find.

I hope thats not true. If im gonna driving the Mantis, I better have a gunner on it so i can shoot something. or else, im not gonna even bother using it. If its only drivable, whats the purpose of using it. What i mean is, when you driving something big, the first thing you want is if you can shoot with it. The warthog and mongoose is an exception, you have somebody else shooting. But with the Mantis, if its only one person in it, then i don’t know wat to say. All i care about is if you can shoot with it. If not, screw it.

This. The Revenant had it’s sounds and that broke my heart.

It was as if the specter and the wraith had a baby, shoots like his mummy and runs like his daddy.

I translated the article and read it, I couldn’t find anything saying that it’s campaign only.

The only scans I can find are French. I would assume that they release the same info though.

Here’s a link to a no scan site http://gamingbolt.com/halo-4-multiplayer-and-campaign-detailed-play-as-the-flood-open-structure it specifically says you’ll use it in campaign as chief.

I’d like to see a grizzly tank someday…
