To the day…it has been 2 months since HALO4 launched world wide. I remember going to the midnight Launch, collecting my LE, UNSC Controller and Tritton HALO 4 Branded Triggers headset and heading home to fire it up
I still remember how much fun the SP was, playing over night (GMT) and enjoying the online up to about 5am when the US caught up with us and suddenly the level of abusive voice game chat increased as many moaned about those with weapons hey didnt have lol
The SP was amazing, the opening level still stands out as do the amazing visuals and audio and was just sublime. Really enjoyed playing Spartan Ops for the first time with friends
Since then, badly run and ill judged promotions tarnished the launch, problems with the servers is as frustrating now as it was during launch week, and the lack of support from MS and 343i is was a sad reflection from what Bungie were like back in the day
But 2 months on from launch, and the saddest thing of all, is the HALO 4 community that use this forum…so much negativity and anger and trolling of the same complaints, repeated daily driving off any actual discussion about HALO 4 beyond the unhappy few
I still look forward to what 343i have in store for us story wise, and to see what happens when Spartan Ops returns later this month

I promise you it’s more than just a few.
Yes, the story is amazing, and Spartan Ops is unique and cool, but the way Matchmaking has been butchered is inexcusable.
Considering 343 will have 2 TUs out in half the time Bungie ever got theirs… I think it’s reasonable to say 343 is supporting it just fine.
It is sad that only the hate-trolls are left here, though. I suppose all the sensible ones have vacated to avoid the mindless and most-often foolish complaining that goes on post-launch. Which makes me the dumb one, no doubt, ha.

People who likes Halo 4, plays it. I would too if I was not stuck on level 70…
Hate-trolls who complain how Halo 3 was fantastic and Halo 4 is sheet, don’t play Halo 3, so they’ve got lots of free time.
Its sad that the majority have complaints on MM. Just like every single other forum I see. Its to bad none of those guys were on the forums before H4 came out. The minority got there way.

this is 100% the issue when you don’t have passionate talented in-house play-testers.
Too much reliance on what vocal people in forums say, not enough personal experience with their own product.
Halo 1-3 bungie were good with this, Reach they were tired of the franchise and relied too much on feedback they got from the beta instead of testing what people said with their own play testers.
343 are known to not be particularly good at their own game so they basically now need to rely on what we say, which is kinda sad.

You realize that’s general major-game-release behaviour, right? Game releases, all the complainers, mostly whiners or noobs who can’t play and think it’s a bad game, congregate in the game’s forums, giving the illusion of superiority since all the people who are perfectly fine with it are much less likely to express their opinion than the tiny amount who think it’s legitimately bad?

I said MOSTLY. There are some people who can make legitimate posts about the games pros and cons, and I’m honestly glad to see a chance to sit down and debate stuff like an adult.
But of course, screams of rage make reason hard to hear. Right now the only criticism going on in the forum is sarcastic, insubstantial posts with variations of “This game sucks, 343 should die”, “If you like this game, there’s something wrong with you”, and so on.

Me too, but I would really love to see all those Halo 3 fanboys on matchmaking instead of this forum. I would love to find 4v4 Mythic Team or Big Team Battle much more often. I don’t even dare to dream playing 4v4 or 5v5 Team Slayer on Ghost Town or Blackout ever again. Don’t H3 players have Legendary Map Pack any more?

So there were actually people who complained about getting descoped?
Weren’t there many Reach haters on the forum at the time of development? If so, how can the AAs still be in the game? How can anything related to Reach still be in this game for that matter?
Perhaps there were a lot of COD players and Reach lovers on the forum at the time.

i saw you post in a thread that got locked a few seconds ago. you said something about just because people don’t like the game doesn’t make it bad. If you think and see this many people saying it is bad,garbage,not good ETC… don’t you think something is wrong there.?
I really loved the Halo series… but i played Halo 4 only 14 days because… well the mp sucks hard.
Now don’t say i am a Halo-Hater, i loved Halo 3, played it almost 2 years(custom games/mp).
Then they released reach… more like Call of Halo, no skillsystem, leveling by playing much… WOW…

No. Because like I said up there, while it may seem there are a ton of people criticizing the game, in reality it’s simply a tiny fraction out of millions of people who think that, and all congregate on a small amount of spots, like this forum.
