2 Maps needing Testing

Hi, everyone. Capt Yesterday here looking to see if anyone wants to join a map testing for two of my maps. These are two maps that I have put plenty of time into and I feel will not disappoint but might need some tweaks. I have only worked on these two maps since release and I feel they have both achieved a status to be worth of custom matching with others. I’m going to do a brief description to give you all an idea of each map.

This is a map I made in REACH but never posted. I remade it in 4 and tweaked it into a completely different map. This is a map with a clear inspiration of Halo 3’s, The Pit. I also made part of this map with inspiration from a set piece that I encountered in Mass Effect 2 and thought it would make for a great room for a multiplayer map. The map, like The Pit, consists of two bases, each with 2 turrets that look right at each other and overlooking an open space where risk vs reward plays out for the speedy route at a cost of pure exposure. The map also consists of multiple rooms that can play to CQ battles as well as another room for ranged battles.

Each of the rooms can also play to sight lines through doorways that create for intense Rifle battles. Also the rooms have multiple levels to play to the style of 3-D battle range that Halo is known for which makes those that use Jetpacks feel well at home even though I am not one for them. The biggest idea I create with this map is, “camping at a cost.” Each room has multiple entry ways ranging from 3-4 entrances so no team can fortify a room too easily or one spot as well.

A bonus for help for communication, each base has a dice with a number on it to aid for call outs such as, “Blue 1,” “Red 3.”

NOTE Each of the weapons(not grenades) have an Initial Spawn but then move to being on the same list of about 10 different Random Spawns spread through out the map.

The title of this map lives to it’s meaning. It is a multilevel building that people riding Jetpacks will love and requires a head on a 3D axis to stay alive.

This is a map I made with inspiration taken from some of Halo’s greatest symmetrical maps. I took the idea of three levels with an outer mid-level ring from Halo 2’s Midship. I took the 4 bridge cross-section meeting at the middle from Halo 3’s Assembly as well as it’s lifts that were at both bases. I took Haven’s bottom level idea of being accessed from the side drops. All of this packed with an aesthetic and design that I spent a couple months of trial and error to figure out makes for a solid map that I feel would not disappoint anyone.

The map uses multilevel design and has so many varying lines of sight one would have so much fun playing. I feel this map highlights what makes Halo, Halo. The map has an array of weapons for the Random Spawns to make it a little more varied on every play. This map, due to its name and design, is a perfect candidate for KoTH. It is perfect for CQ battles and still has lines of sight that can pay off for rifles.

In Conclusion
I would like to see people download comment and critique my work. I’d like to set up a possible test date for either one of them like tonight at 9pm Eastern US time. Also I would like to set one up for Friday at 9pm Eastern US time as well.

Hey, add me if you want some help with playtesting, I love customs so if I’m online send me an invite and I’ll be there if I can. I don’t use a mic often, mostly because I only have the Kinect and whenever I use it the mic picks up the sound from my tv, causing a lot of feedback, but I’ll try using it when I can.
