As you may or may not know, halo annaversary comes in two disks, just like ODST. There is the campaign disk and the multiplayer disk (halo reach without campaign but with DLC on disk). Is this becoming a trend? Use one multiplayer for every two games? I like that you can get more playing time, but it annoys me. Halo 4 will have a new multiplayer, but the game after that will confirm or deny the trend. What do you think of games coming out with older multiplayer with all DLC? Do you like this, or are you against it? please state your opinion.
Get battlefield 3 to understand. There is so much information, like 2 graphic sets, video terminals, scanning enemies, etc., that it just cannot fit on an xbox disk. The menu may be conjoined, like BF3, but it will need 2 disks.
Okay, if halo is more magical than battlefield, it could be on one disk. Remember, my point is about using old multiplayer.
You know it comes with Reach multiplayer because it is only $40.
The TU beta. Title Update? Reach armor. Classic maps. Read the evidence. it is halo 3 all over again. Two disks or not, Reach and Annaversary multiplayers will sync. Why do you think there are only two Reach map packs? Map pack numbers have always been rising. They are just suprising you with the same multiplayer.
I’ve been following CE:A ever since its announcement, but I have yet to hear anything about its release being on two discs. I’m fairly sure it will be released on one, with campaign and multiplayer modes. However, I’m sure it will only be the Classic Playlist that will be available from CE:A’s menu.
One disk only
" This will be one retail disc, $39.99, everything launches out of one menu. It’s kind of like a one-disc ODST - obviously it doesn’t have the other DLC, because most people who buy this are going to have Reach already. It just has the 7 new maps - Reach’s original multiplayer maps are not included."- Interview with Frank O’Conner

Yeah, from what I remember it’s supposed to be one disc. When you go to the Multiplayer button it should load Reach straight from CE:A (That is with only the maps from CE:A).

GET YOUR FACTS STRIAGHT.There is only one disc. I’m not even going to talk about your post it’s that silly.

As it seems we’ve agreed on, CEA will have only one disc.
As for the other part of you question, CEA and ODST are not mainstream titles. They’re “knockoffs” that provide extra gameplay for fans and hold us over until the next main title. Halo is attempting to keep up with games like CoD that release every year and thus gaining a much larger population, while also letting Halo Multiplayer have its well known lifespan.
