so as everyone is aware the launch was less than ideal & the bugs we’re out of hand.
343i ‘apparently’ stated 2 DLC leaders would be free for everyone to make up for the massive failure at launch.
is this a cop out to those who paid for the season pass for DLC content to suddenly become free for other members of the community who didn’t pay?
what are your throughts and feelings around this ?

“Apparently” will get you nowhere. I remember they said at one point that forge would only be available for a limited time. now I don’t know if this still stands through but I highly doubt people will get a second leader.
I also don’t get where people are having problems, at least from Xbox standpoint. I’ve gotten the game since early access and had only one issue of game freezing. I see people posting daily that the game is a -Yoink- show and what have you, but I just don’t see that being the actual case. Halo wars 2 might as well have been a whole new endeavour, with 343 leading the way and Certain affinity doing all the leg work. In my opinion the complete shattered the launch of the game, and I mean that in a good way.

Don’t get me wrong as much as my inner demons laugh at the the pc launch, console fan boy talking, I feel 343 should offer some compensation for their time and money wasted, as I want other gamers to be able to experience what I think is a masterpiece of pure halo carnage

Honestly i just dont think its that bad though. I havent had half the issues other folks have mentioned although i havent really jumped online. From what i have read though its like 10% of your games disconnect and that to me is a very minor issue and not worthy of compensation. Maybe if it never gets fixed or takes a very long time compensation would be more necessary.

I’m inclined to agree with you, although pc and console are two different platforms they are very similar. So any issues the pc has the console should have too. Unless they were using a different team to port to pc but that’s not the case. Ulitmately if a pc player says it’s bad I cant really argue his point as I don’t follow the pc side of stuff
The Idea of them handing out free content is just so they can hopefully make up for some of the wrongs from the lunch. However it does add some awesome gameplay to the game as well. But the thing is did they plan on releasing them ahead of time before the lunch due to them already knowing it was gonna have some lash back from the community, because of the problems?

I’ve had well over 50% of games being unplayable, but I’d also be kind of peeved if they gave free leaders away after myself and others paid for them. They’d have to figure out some other form of compensation, but I also don’t feel it’s necessary.

“spouting unsubstantiated rumors” lol…
80% of the time the game crashes upon finishing a online match
100% of the time the game hangs on a black screen for a minute or 2 before launching
80% of the time people get dropped from multiplayer matches
20% of the time the mouse becomes unresponsive at the start of a game (mouse is dead…Cant click on anything)
80% of the time Online games run like -Yoink-
100% of the time The mini map is unstable when interacting with it
100% of the time the UI (both ingame and in the menus) are unresponsive and unreliable
Those are just a few things i recall from actual experience, the games been unplayable for 2 weeks now. I dunno how things go down on XB1 but on PC this -Yoink- would have been either patched or pulled from steam and refunded a few days into thsi debacle…Unless of course its on the Windows Store.
