2/5 Disappointment, and why

We all had high expectations of Halo Infinite, and for being delayed, we expected the best. But after many hours of playing this game, and the feeling of something “being good cause it’s new” drifting away, I feel this game to be as bad as Halo 5 in its launch state, please let me explain.

Multiplayer/Progression
We all know the progression system is absolutely terrible but is going to be fixed, but the problem is much deeper than that. No one likes the Armor Core system, it is extremely limiting and really ruins the feel of variety in the game. And let me point out that almost all armor is behind a paywall… I get it, it’s “free”, but they can’t expect players to not play the campaign. Most halo fans want these features that were a given in old halos to also be a given in Halo Infinite, not divide the game into pieces and charge people separate prices to each. Also, BTB is extremely underwhelming, it really just feels like slayer with more players. The vehicles are way too rare which makes the game mostly composed of player vs. player action. And lastly where are the assassinations?

Weapons
The weapon sandbox is extremely lackluster, and I know the game isn’t out yet, but judging from the campaign, there doesn’t seem to be any new weapons entering the sandbox. The banished weapons are all very situational weapons that don’t seem to be as reliable as UNSC weapons, for example. If I made a map where Red team used banished weapons and Blue team used UNSC weapons, the game would be extremely unbalanced.

Vehicles
The disappointment was almost a certain, no falcon… and I know its not confirmed, but this game has disappointed me enough to make me not have my hopes up. The Banshee’s handling is something new, feels more airplane like, which I liked to be honest, but the damage output, combined with these new flight mechanics, make the banshee a horrible bomber. The missile no loner tracks for some reason, and no longer instantly kill opponents, but require you to switch to the repeater to finish of the opponent. This is understandable for the wasp, because its flight mechanics also for the user to constantly keep the opponent in sight, but the banshee constantly moves forward, limiting time to attack. And the maps isn’t high enough to allow players to gain some height to look and bomb downward, you are better off just ramming with the banhsee. The chopper is another mess, with its horrible handling and losing its ability to ram vehicles to pieces, this vehicles is just a bad version of the ghost, it loses to both Warthogs and ghost, and for some reason backing up turns the guns to the side so if an opppoent gets too close, you might as well jump out.

Overall Missing Features
And to finish this off I just want to list out all the other missing stuff and summarize my whole rant.
No coop campaign on release
No Forge on release
No assassinations
No Falcon
Armor Core system is terrible
Complete rework of the banshee and chopper needed
And these should come out on launch day…
