Hey guys.
I have been having a problem with the game’s multiplayer since the last few weeks. Whenever I start my Xbox, and go to and launch Halo 5, and select a Multiplayer playlist and find players, it finds players, always gets to 2/4…And then says “Can’t connect to Dedicated Server” and kicks me out of the game. This happens ONLY the FIRST time I launch the game. After this, every time I select a playlist and search for games, it always connects. I know its not that big of a deal but its kinda frustrating. My NAT is Open, has always been Open, and I can find players in other games, including MCC, quite easily.

I posted about this a few weeks back and haven’t seen any feedback if they’re aware of the issue or not. I reached out to ske7ch on Twitter about it. I’ve seen people attribute it to the last MCC update but who knows. Would be great to see them address it as I’m still experiencing the problem.

Okay mate. Thanks a lot. This is surely on their end only then. I am almost certain though that it was there before the MCC update as well. It’s very annoying.
Just be aware that if you’re trying to play with a fireteam you’ll need to run a social alone first to fix the issue. I recommend infection as the quitting penalty is very laxed in that playlist.
I’m having the same issue, I’d love to hear something from 343. Same solution, as above poster. Very annoying.
