1V1's and/or tips from better players than me.

So, I want to improve my halo playing. I’m already a pretty good player but I know I’m not great. One thing that I do love however, is a challenge. That being said, I want to face of against opponents of equal or greater skill than I currently posses so I figured that coming here was the best plan. My GamerTag is the same as my profile name so friend me if you’re interested and send me a message letting me know. I’m usually free to play but I’m also usually view as offline so don’t be afraid to hit me up! I’m also a really chill gamer so if you’re just looking for a scrub to crap on, message me! If nothing else, I can rewatch the video and improve for our next match haha. I’m also pretty willing to help out with multiplayer games and ranking so there’s that too

You came to halo waypoint to find good players 90% of people on here are cry baby warzone kids.

Add me and I will play a few against ya at some point

Don’t let your opponent to see/detect you.
Always grab a long range weapon (BR/DMR) and the SMG.

My advise: (these don’t all apply in the same scenario)
-Keep your distance
-Crouch often in CQB
-Jump / strafe / thruster
-Stay near teammates, always
-Try implementing more slide / crouch tactics when 1v1’ing
-If you can afford it, the Elite controller upped my game drastically. My thumbs never leave the sticks.
-Never chase
-Patience
-Grenade spam in CQB is also useful - nade first, gun second.

I’d argue that its 80% of people who complain 10% who make discriminatory posts like ^ and the rest are people would actually use the forums properly.

Also op, I’d find what you’re good at first before you improve, some are good at long range precision, some are good at cqc, others are good at power weapon control.

If you want to improve long range I’d use weapons that have recoil jets so you don’t have to deal with recoil just the range and small spartans then once you’re good with that take them off, also there is this custom game you can try can’t remember the name but basically its ctf with pistol and snipers the map is only about 25 meters and has no true cover respawns and flag resets are instant basically it teaches you to do precision while under a lot of stress since you basically spawn die in 1-2 seconds and die again it helps with snap shots and quick lining your targets head.

If you want cqc, learn the look of the shield so you know when to melee someone to kill them, also memorize how many precision shots it takes to melee kill someone, 3 magnum, 2 br shots, etc. Also know when it the right range to melee and predict your enemy, when your shields break usually back up and thruster left or right your enemy will usually use the broken shield to indicate when to melee to get the kill if you make them miss you probably just won the fight. Using any type of upgrade, speed boost, camo, os, damage, can be a great cushion for you if you’re training cqc.

If you want power weapons thats a bit harder normally the power weapons person is the guy who is entrusted the power weapon in arena but almost only seen in full teams of 4 if you’re with randoms its more of a rush for the gun v 7 people which usually won’t end in your favor, but to learn the weapons simply test them out yourself get a feel for them and learn your own tricks. Also watching other people play you’ll pick up on some tips you can try yourself this is usually better for power weapons over the other two because power weapons can be pretty unique you can watch a pro play perfect kill someone for hours but you won’t learn anything other than follow the target duh, were with powers you can learn bouncing caster, bouncing scattershots, how to weave with the sword, what power ups go nicely with those weapons, and how aggressive you really can be with those weapons.
