So…i keep getting 1v1 invites by salty kids claiming they’re better than me. And that’s really not a problem, i usually destroy them.
However there’s one thing that all those kids have in common…they just can’t figure out is how to set a 1v1 properly, and i usually end up playing Slayer on Orion 2 or Pegasus 2 or Mercy.
So i want to ask you what you think good settings for 1v1s are.
I think HCS settings and maps like Truth, Coli or Regret are the best but let me know what you think cause i’m just sick of kids playing 1v1 with automatics, splinter nades and hammers…
I mean, there’s a reason why they nerfed those things in competitive gametypes.

HCS settings would be the most logical choice for 1v1s (God forbid if it does happen). I also turn down 1v1 messages and block the sender too. Like honestly, it’s a waste of your time and their time.

I think 1v1 is pointless in such a team based game, i never invite people to do 1v1s but it looks like there’s a lot of people that sees it as a way to seal the deals…

Besides, the matches would take absolutely FOREVER on the existing maps. They’re simply too big with lots of hiding spots. A neutral flag would break things up, but I doubt it’ll do anything much.

I do get a few 1v1s in pretty much every game, but weirdest I’ve ever got was R6: Siege. Teamwork is 75% of Siege, so 1v1ing someone in doesn’t prove anything.
I always did standard slayer settings in any map, but a breakout map would probably work best for a 1v1.
I personally don’t limit weapons as I find that as a cheap method of winning since not everyone plays the same way, I fight at close range and use CQB weapons like the AR for practically everything so depriving me of them puts me at a handicap versus a person who mainly uses long range precision weapons for everything, since they’re usually the ones who wanna do HCS settings. Heck, I hate snipers with a passion but I’d never remove it if that’s the opponent’s thing, I just learn to dodge.
