how many players would like to see an advanced 1v1 guide for halo wars, cause i’ve been thinking of making one but im not sure if i’ll make it for nothing or if players are actually going to use it.

But here’s a tip to ruin it for the rushers. Self destruct to give them less points since they don’t deserve them.

Since you have already played 500+ games post-reset, it could help some players that don’t have that much time, cause experience means a lot in HW.
So I would prolly read it, just b/c I can only play 1 game a week or so

Why did you need permission? Its better to play skirmish matches to help improve instead of going online then play online. Only self destruct against decent players who don’t rush since they will have earned their points while rushers don’t deserve them.

Correction, that is why barely anyone plays online. Never said I couldn’t counter a rush. I’m a General so its kind of hard not to win after a while. (facepalm)

most players play online against other players because the ai in halo wars is utterly limited

if you can counter a rush then what’s your problem? rushing is the best tactic in any rts because it forces the opponent to play by your rules.

I must have miss read your post, there is nothing wrong with private matches, but they aren’t very challenging if you play with they same people again and again.

just because I might rush doesn’t mean that the game won’t last for a long time; but I do usually try to finish a game as fast as I can which is usually in 10 or 15 minutes.

you should be building units as soon as the game starts. if you don’t want to rush, why don’t you expand with those units or take hooks. you need early units to defend yourself and you’ll want to avoid making turrets early.

lol yep I know, been getting a few warthogs out there straight from the main base, quickly add first upgrade to warthogs, ram the crap out any covenant player character.
