1st Time Camping in Halo 4

I’ve been hearing a lot of both complaining about camping in Halo 4, and people talking about doing it, so I decided to try it out.

I picked Invisibility as my ability, and didn’t change anything else in my loadout.

DMR
Plasma Pistol
Stickies
Invis
Mobility
Ordnance Priority

I played Infinity Slayer on Adrift.

So I just ran to the middle and started crouching while invisible in different spots. I didn’t really hide off in any corners though. I was pretty d*** out in the open.

I got a lot of kills.

And, just like people have said, it wasn’t long before my ordnance started kicking it. I was given a shotgun, followed by a gravity hammer lol. Pretty ridiculous for someone camping.

Needless to say, I came extremely close to getting a Perfection. I went 15 kills and 1 death, which I caused by trying to pick up my shotgun in the middle of a fight. Ironically the game spawned me so close to the guy who killed me I was able to finish killing him, and got my shotgun, which he didn’t bother picking up for some reason.

So yeah, camping is pretty crazy in Halo 4, and ordnance drops put it on steroids since weapons are handed to campers now.

Camping is and allways will be a FPS stratagy. As for the camo i think it should have been part of a ordnance drop just like damage and speed boot and the over sheild. Camo being a AA just promotes sniper camping.

This…^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

not only that but every map on this game except haven promotes camping.

There has never been camping like this before in Halo. Ever.

I don’t think you guys pointing out there will always be camping in any fps understand what I was saying…

I was literally just crouching in the middle of Adrift while spamming invisibility as much as I could use it, and that worked. I barely died at all. The only times I really left the open middle was when the whole other team stormed into the middle and I was forced to run to get my shields back up after killing one or two of them.

Invisibility should definitely not be an armor ability. This is just more proof Halo 3’s equipment system, which is technically how power ups work as well except they force you to use the item as soon as its picked up, is far superior to armor abilities.
