although it hasn’t been confirmed, it would be nice to see a “1st person vehicle view” mode in halo 4. I think it would make driving any vehicle 10x more fun - but then also having the option to switch back to 3rd person view.
Remember the “Halo Reach Beta”. the intro to it had you in the passenger seat of a warthog riding around in 1st person view, and wasn’t it awesome!
It may not sound like traditional “Halo”, but i think this element added to the game would be great.
What do you think?
no the third person view is classic, it just fits for vehicles and turrets now. and besides, i think people have had enough change as it is.
no thanks, i would like to be able to see what i’m doing and not have the vehicle structure taking up 70% of my screen.

In Halo CE the warthog passenger went into FPS view. tell me how it isnt classic. (and btw what if its not ‘classic’? who gives a -Yoink- its cool)

Hows covy 1st person gonna work?
in most casses -like playing online- people would use 3rd person to benefit them, but the 1st person view could be just an special add-on for fun - especially for custom games!

It would be an option like in BF3…

actually thats a good point, giving people the option to change between the two would solve any problems
I think third person view is very fitting, 1st person view seems like it would be harder to maneuver.

The same like UNSC…

This.

Exactly. And 95% of the time I use vehicles (any vehicle) in Bf3, it is in first person, I wonder how it would be in Halo.

What?
When your in a warthog or a falcon you can look through a window to see where you’re moving. The covy vehicles are all covered up. how can you look through a banshee or a wraith?
What if you could just click in the right analog. Taking away any annoyance of an option switch, while still giving the option.

Same but thats only because it was impossible to aim in a jet or sommin in third person
I’ve supported this idea for a very long time and I think as long as the option is there it couldn’t hurt.
Sacrificing practicality for immersion is a fair trade-off, in my opinion, plus it would make racetrack maps ten times more fun.
I also had this fascination with how first-person in certain covenant vehicles work. With the Banshee and Wraith you hit some obvious issues (though I’d imagine they have cameras that display the view to the inside of the vehicle), but with the Ghost I’d imagine you would see a high-contrast neon-outline view of everything. Basically what you’d see if you went into theater in Halo 3 or Reach and looked at the screen in front of the Ghost driver.
the covies themselves must have a way of seeing through otherwise they wouldn’t know where anyone is. So however they do it, im sure it will be the same for the spartans.

Hi haunted whats up, beside 70% is a little over the top. I agree, having an option between the 2 would be awesome, especially on something like a banshee.
