Here’s how Halo 5 could implement 1st person vehicles:
The main problem with 1st person vehicles is that you cannot see around you very well. Well let’s use the Warthog as an example. When getting into the driver’s seat, the windshield of the truck would act like a visor. It would show multiple things on it, such as if there is a passenger or turret gunner onboard. It would also show vehicle health, and two cameras. One would be a reverse cam, showing a wide view behind you. Another one (I’m not sure if this should be included) would show the view of the gunner if he was in the turret.
Besides what’s on the windshield, your Spartan still has all his normal visor elements, including shields and radar. Using the right stick, you can look around 90 degrees to the right towards the passenger seat, and almost all the way around on the door side.
Let’s talk about the Banshee. When getting in the Banshee, a bunch if hexagonal screen panels would turn on, showing an almost 360 degree view. The vehicle health and a tracker would appear on the vehicle HUD. The tracker marks enemy aircraft near you.
Something that could be changed is that the vehicle HUD info could be on your visor instead of the vehicle’s.
What do you think of this?

Sorry, I meant to say Charging. That’s 3rd person.
I just played CE yesterday, and I was surprised when the passenger seat was 1st person.
I want the normal HUD (with the radar to balance against being able to see everywhere) when driving and stuff.

Im talking about the turret guy. How you know where he is shooting?
Toggle option only. There’s a reason why driving and gunning vehicles have always been in third person, and that’s not something I want to see changed.
No, first person vehicles would suck so much, and as much -Yoink- as I can tolerate that’s crossing the line. First person vehicles would be awkward to drive and would greatly limit what you are capable of doing with them.
Try ramming people or dodging projectiles when you can only see a narrow cone infront of you.
First person assassinations and thrusts, I don’t really care.
