Look, ever since Halo 1 when you were able to be in first person in the passenger side of the warthog Iv wanted it to be implemented into other Halo games. I think it would be awesome to be able to drive and turret things it first person. I could care less about including it in MM but Im really wanting it for custom games such as infection and just driving around for fun.
What do you guys think? I mean it cant hurt you if you dont want it in you could just switch it off. I think it would be a great addition to the Halo gameplay (for customs)
EDIT: Also be able to pilot things as well.
EDIT II: Come on guys/gals keep this thread going! Hopefully we can get enough people for 343i to take it seriously!
I don’t see what is so great about limiting your sight to only infront of you.
If you want to handicap yourself, by all means 343 should do this.
yea i agree. i have also thought about something like this to…
Have the option to switch between third and first person view mode in vehicles.
Might not be as viable in MP, but it definitely help with being immersed in the Campaign and Machinma too.
The problem i had with it in CE is reloading. You had to waste an entire clip to reload weapons and if you pressed X, you bailed out.
My solution to this is press x to reload but hold x to bail out.

I feel the same way. In multiplayer I could see no advantages, but the possibilities for Machinima are interesting. Also think about the way it would make race maps more exciting to be able to experience them in first person!
Sure, it would add some realism and would make it somewhat more real. I think it’s a nice option and that it should be available, at least sometimes like campaign, spartan ops or certain MP vehicles.
Remember Star Wars Battlefront? You could change from 1st person to 3rd person, they could do this for pro games.

I would be ecstatic if they included it in spartan ops. My best bro and I love the worthog and adding this feature would make it that much more savory to my liking.
this should be only for passenger… My favorite part of CE was the last level where id have my busy drive and me sit in the passenger seat with a rocket launcher
> Ill leave this here
Your link is useless.
Other then some “just for fun” times with friends, I don’t see how limiting your vision to your side of the wind shield and the side of the vehicle is beneficial.
The way I see it is if you dont like the FPVision then no ones going to make you use it. And as far as Iv seen in the past few years the majority of the Halo community would like this feature implemented.
I say go for it 343i!
> How about a skull?
Im not quite sure what you mean. Do you mean that you could turn a skull on to make the vehicle first person? If so I dont know how that would be able to affect custom games or MM. It would only be for campaign, but if thats all they can do Id be fine with it. Id prefere it to be a toggle for mostly custom games and campaign.
I’d love first person vehicles as long as the option to switch to third person was always there.
> I’d love first person vehicles as long as the option to switch to third person was always there.
Thats exactly what Im wanting. Obviously it would hinder your view, so I wouldnt want to use it all the time in MM but for customs and campaign I think it would be pretty awesome.
Have you ever looked at the dashboard on the warthog in Reach? Its pretty detailed and if you could plop right down in front of the wheel and view all its sweetness.

I’m pretty sure it can’t work with the Halo driving scheme, since both analogue sticks are used so how can you change what direction you are looking? I don’t see it as being worth implementation I’m afraid.
well if you look to your right… you might see it…lol im just trolling and joking…
but you do have a point

You push foreward on the left analog to go foreward, then you move with the right analog to turn. I feel like it would be worth implementing just because of how many people would want it put in. I know it might not be the top priority of the game’s development but I say its worth a shot, if the game comes out and the feature sucks or no one likes it then everyone can just toggle it off. Its like crouch toggling if you dont like it you can turn it off.
