I really hope that 343 will (in the near future…very near future) either confirm or deny the existence of 1st person driving… that is the information that is slowly killing my soul… I need to know!

Personally I like driving in third person. Your more aware of your surroundings and everything that’s happening. Also it’s easier. Though I wouldn’t mind if they made this as an option that can be toggled, for the people that want to drive in first person.
Third person driving is in Halo, first person driving is not something that belongs in Halo. It also wouldn’t be very efficient.
And there should be no choice whether to use first or third person driving, it should be all in third. It’s like offering an option to change the gameplay into third person, that’s not Halo.
It, honestly, wouldn’t be as good as third person either.
1st person perspective was create by Call of Duty. So no.
But on topic yeah I don’t mind that.
i wanna see 1st person passenger and driver but it would be cool if you could swap between 3rd and 1st person.

Yes, it made sitting in the passenger seat actually useful.
how about 1st person passenger? I believe that is much more important. though 1st person driving would be really cool, it should only be a toggle option, though I don’t see how efficient it would help.
I like 3rd person driving. I’d rather keep it that way, we have better control over the warthogs in third person.

Yes. First Person Driving was created by Call of Duty. The game with no vehicle warfare in multiplayer…
Look at Halo 1. I do believe being in the passenger seat of the warthog was first person?

A.) It’s freaking cool and good for cool screenshot or movies
B.) Some people (like me) just prefer it
C.) If Halo 4 has like a hardcore game setting (No HUD, stuff like that) 1st person vehicles could always be on in that playlist because it would be an extra challenge!
There is a lot they could do with 1st person in vehicles!
Personally, I will never turn away options. That’s what makes them so great. You DON’T have to use them if you don’t want to. I love my custom games and the more options them can cram into the game the better if you ask me.

First-Person driving? No, mainly due to losing the see whats going on around you effectively while driving. I say leave it as is.
First-Person assassinations? Yes please.

oh yes I know its probably not in the cards,
but oh I want it so… not b/c it would be great to drive FP for gameplay reasons…but I remember seeing a brief clip from a Halo Reach build video that showed driving the warthog FP…It was all bumping around and plasma was flying everywhere…
made it look soooo realistic somehow. Maybe with all the detail 343 has put into the warthogs interior…is this gonna be an option?
I would never do this during competitive play, mind you, but for -Yoink- and giggles during campaign or customs? Hell yes
also bring back FP passenger but make it optional so the kiddies don’t -Yoink-
