+19 kills, 32 in total is that good?

Who actually looks at their kill-death thing? I saw +19 today and previously thought only pros got those kind of scores. My overall kill/death is 0.83 with 500 games. 32 kills in a normal 50-kill 4 man team scenario.

If you are genuinely really good and want to kick my -Yoink- because of this post look elsewhere. However if you want a kamikaze, grenade happy, route one, berserker who also recently hit a 13-game winning streak. On your team, the kind of guy who dies a lot but leaves the entire opposite teams with no shields pretty much every time. I’m your man. I hate DMRs though, I’m chaos and carnage. No precision here.

Riveting tale, broseph. I guess that’s good, but you need to consistently post games like that in order to be considered good. At your level of competition, that isnt hard to do.

And everybody looks at their post-game stats. You’re lying if you say you don’t. Who doesn’t want to know their stats following a game?

Play your game, but work to perfect it. I play stupid lone wolf too (not meant to be derogatory, but running out alone against 8 in BTB is stupid for a soldier, I just happen to be able to re-incarnate quickly). Work on the skill set needed, and I don’t mean DMR or precision, though that may help. Practice your grenade throws on the different surfaces so you can pinpoint with them. Practice throwing them until you can stick a warthog driver as he drives past (not the truck, the driver).

Work on map specific berzerker methods too. The Plasma Launcher on Hemorrhage is a perfect example. Rush them grab them start charging the weapon as you fly straight up or strafe sideways, and take out the inevitable vehicle rush. Double kills are easy this way, and you help your team with the overall tactics, plus end up positive at the end of the game.

Use power weapons. Rockets, fuel rod etc. are nice, but learn how to use the pro-pipe effectively and you can wreck a team. Plus, you can use it to lay traps. When you launch a grenade, it won’t explode until you take your finger off of the trigger, so you can fire one into a narrow passage or hallway and leave it there until the team come through. Then boom! instant carnage and one shot kids running for their lives.

Don’t let anyone sway from your game. I will never better than 1.75 or so because I rush too much, but you can learn skills that will let you get away with what people don’t think you should… ;p

I should say I played only maybe 100 games on Halo 3, and that was my first ever online game maybe 6 months ago. I only learnt how to see the +/- thing maybe 4 months ago. My kill/death ratio is lower than it should be because I kinda learnt how to play online with this username. including many many massacres (of me) when I first started. I think my true current kill/death would be almost exactly 1. Which is average right?

Time and time again, when I die. I’m hoping, praying there is a player like me a few seconds behind. Just 1 grenade, for a double-kill or triple-kill. My perfect 4 man team with me in it, would include a sword/melee/close-quarters specialist to run with me using the run power. A camouflage specialist good with headshots and sniper-rifles. And finally either a armour-lock grenadier, or a jet-pack DMR-genius.

If I had just 1 good player in all of my matches, who understands my kamikaze nature. They would kill maybe 10 players a match with 1 or 2 bullets after I’d been in. And I would be the assist king  Even when my kill/death is bad we usually win through my selfless sacrifice for the power-weapons. I’ve recently come back from a 9-0, and another one where we where over 12 behind. Never discount the Demiurge. lmao

And another one, 16 behind to tie 49-49. I had 2 players shot with my sniper, a couple of bullets on either player would have finished it. What a match, why don’t more players go for a rematch in that situation?

Use sprint yourself. Walk next to someone, and when you see a crowd, rush forward with sprint. Cause massive havoc, like you do, and the guy you are wishing for will be there, because you went with him.

> What a match, why don’t more players go for a rematch in that situation?

Most of the current crowd don’t seem to want a fair match. They want blow-out after blow-out, in their favor only. A rematch for a close or tie game would put them at risk of a loss, Jebus forbid.

wtf why would anyone lie about that? probably the majority of the UU’s don’t care enough to look at there stats or even know what they mean.

Pfft, B*tch please! That’s nothing! Been there, done that. xD

My K/D is 2.26 on Bungie or 2.28 on Waypoint. Since Bungies stars are nearing it final days, ill go with Waypoints 2.28.

Any way that’s pretty good for you. K/D really depends on how you decide to play the game.

I go +19 in most of my games…

And telling people that you “hate the DMR” and prefer to charge in with just your AR I’m assuming, only to kill NOBODY and then get yourself killed?

You definitely sound like the type of person i DO NOT want to play with.

That’s actually pretty damn good. Either you’re getting better, you’re better than you think, or those guys sucked.

I am guessing those guys sucked. Post the game- Quality depends on opponent skill level and gametype.

How do you post the game on here? I made sure I saved it. (Edit, OK I just uploaded it to my file-share. Do I need to do anything else or can people see it now?)

I still died like 13 times, I don’t claim to be a pro. i was just doing my own thing and noticed the score at the end. 32 kills in a match is more than I’ve seen I think. I just wondered how good some people get. but presumably the better you get the better people you are matched with right.

People with K/D ratios over 2 scare me.

Yeah with a machine-gun I win 80% of my 1-on-1 in a clip. the DMR I’m not as good with. I haven’t fully mastered the “DMR dance”, that said I know where all the weapons are so I’ll just go find a needler or something. Most of the guns are only really finishing people off, the way I play anyway. Grenades are my friends. I wish I could mod my game to make them have little smiley faces on.

But I can be a bit stupid sometimes, someone recently sniped me and then my spawn point on Asylum. So i ran to the other teams base in a rage, dodging sniper-bullets and all 4 team-members gunning for me. I grenaded them and double-mellayed the guy who killed me to death before dying too. OK it’s a zero outcome kill-wise. but I got my revenge, made them waste 4 sniper bullets, and gave that guy the shock of his life  My team were base-sitting and losing because of it and I’d had enough. We still lost

No you don’t, bad kid. Let the kid have his moment.

Firsty, you go onto either Bungie.net or this site. If at Bungie.net, you click on your profile, and then your game history. Select the game and copy the URL into a hyperlink in a post. Then we can get the link to your game.
If you are on Waypoint, go to your Service Record. Then select Game History and then find the game. Copy the URL and put it into a hyperlink in your post.

Or if you have a video uploaded and rendered then you can provide the link to that video by going to Bungie.net and viewing your file share.

Lolz I’m going to start posting threads everytime I go +19.

farts

lol, I’m probably not as good as you yet then. I was just surprised and wanted to share. Here is the link from the bungie site. I hope this works. So people can see how someone with a kill/death of 0.83 who isn’t that great can go +19. My previous best is about 25 kills with +13. I currently average about 14 kills a game with maybe +3. but I had a -13 recently to a team all on the same box. They were just invincible to me.

I know some good players are going to watch and think you nooby, lucky . . .

I just want to point out that I don’t see how you are thinking you average +3 kills/game. In your past 25 games you have gone an average of -2.16. And overall you seem to average around 9.39 kills/game.

Just be careful when pulling out numbers to make sure that they aren’t exaggerated too much.

PS. I am not stat-flaming, I am just pointing out inconsistencies in numbers.

Yeah I had a bad run recently while playing hung-over

Really shouldn’t do that too much. But over the last month or so I reckon i’ve been positive for the first time.

It’s all about the matching too, I think my +19 triggered something. It feels like it anyway. Loads of forerunners and inheritors in my matches (I never saw an inheritor until this week). Some with matching tags or pictures etc, presumably teams who play together regularly. The difference is noticeable, so much more co-ordination. I was going to leave it until I feel like a real crack at stepping up to it. Or if it didn’t work, maybe chicken out and click the “match skill” setting on. If it does anything, lol

Edit: I’m getting used to it a bit now, my nightmare run finally ended anyway. But today I saw something which put my score to shame. A 28 kills, + 27, some guy called snip3down or something similar (seriously watch out). My opponents have definitely upgraded like in the Matrix Reloaded. I need to become super-Neo. That guy was just not real. He killed me 4 time in like 25 seconds at one point, all headshots with me having no idea which direction to even begin to shoot. I mellayed him twice at one point and he lived, another time I grenaded him, melled and emptied 3/4 of a needler clip into him and he still would not die. :frowning: I think it was John 117, the real one. Maybe I spilt his pint. :frowning:
