Want some ideas on how you can beat this challenge?
So I have been racking my brain over this 18 regicide challenge. I have read all sorts of theories on how it’s a typo, how it’s possible but very unlikely to achieve, blah blah…
Anyway last night I was playing Regicide and for some reason the bar was stuck on 10/18 which was confusing as I thought it was all 18 or nothing. I carried on playing and it still hadn’t changed from 10/18 so I gave up and finally came to accept that I would not get this challenge.
Then BEHOLD! I log in to Waypoint this morning to find that it says 18/18 and that I have completed the challenge. Absolutely no clue how this happened. I’m going to put it down to being really buggy and working differently for people. So here are some ideas on how to get the challenge:

The total stacks up over more than one game - some people have managed to complete the challenge by getting 9 regicides in one match and 9 in the other. Long shot but give it a go.

Become King and kill 18 other players as king - others have reported that it’s a typo and that they got the challenge by becoming king and staying king while gaining 18 kills.

Get 18 Regicides including King assists - this is what I think it may mean. Try killing the king as much as possible and even getting king assists can count toward the 18 regicides.

Just keep playing - This is if all else fails. The achievement is clearly buggy so just keep playing and playing. DON’T TOUCH ANOTHER GAME MODE. Play about 20 games, jump off the game, come back on and check your challenges. If there is an number other than 0/18 you are making progress. Jump back on regicide AND ONLY REGICIDE and keep playing. Repeat this process.
I believe options 3 or 4 is what happened for me, but I can’t be certain. These options should be in no way be classed taking advantage of the system and cause a banning! As the challenge clearly has buggy issues and people complete it in ways without meaning to (like me).
If 343 do proceed to ban people who get this challenge without boosting then they will lose innocent valuable customers. If you are going to create a challenge 343 get it right! A great deal of people have stressed over this challenge with the worry that more of the same is to follow and also the worry that it’s a trick to catch boosters and may result in banning if they some how complete it. To be clear though BOOSTING is wrong and if you can’t play the game using skill accept it and move on. Others may believe you to be a good player and will be pleasantly surprised to find that you are rubbish in healthy competition
