has there been any word on weather the forged maps like from “Battle of Shadow and Light” count towards this number. I fear that it does and that we won’t see any really NEW maps that aren’t just forge maps.

No word yet from what I can tell. We’ll have to wait and see.
theyre just forge maps to release with btb while they continue work on developer quality maps… watch the sprint vidocs, it shows you them working on a bunch of new maps

Yeah Warzone Assault maps will always be like that. 343i doesn’t feel like making new canvases so they just recycle.

I hope that all future Warzone maps will be more tank-friendly. Most of the maps are just claustrophobic and seem more friendly to infantry than to vehicles.
It’s annoying that the warzone assault maps somehow count for more maps…
Of course the Forge maps aren’t included in the 18 free maps… That would be just silly.
