152 rank players should get Hayabusa Armor

not even rank 152… but the people who get it should be rewarded something cool (armor) not just some basic emblem like you got at 152

Hayabusa is out of the question since the asset is owned by a separate company. Here’s an old forum post that explains it: Explain to me Hayabusa

Idk what the reward will be, but 343 have stated multiple times not to get too excited about it. A full armor set would be quite a lot, but maybe a special helmet would be appropriate, like the Haunted Helmet. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised to see an emblem or nameplate though.

Doesn’t Microsoft now own the company that made Ninja Gaiden?

I’m not sure, I didn’t really follow that company’s trajectory. If so, then I guess Microsoft owns the asset. Otherwise, Hayabusa won’t be returning.

No, Microsoft does not own Team Ninja, Koei Tecmo do. Team Ninja / Tecmo own the Hayabusa brand. Microsoft own Ninja Theory, they make Hell Blade, Enslaved etc. As stated, 343i cannot use Hayabusa without permission from the parent company.

How about Recon with a cool skin on it? Any iconic armor works. Considering how almost all of the older armors are considered iconic, it wouldn’t be difficult to pick one.

Recon doesn’t have the same impact like it used to on halo 3

Edit: I was confused on game developers so I retracted my statement.

Back to the topic of the OP. No, No armor should be awarded for reaching 152 IMO. Alot of us have left Halo 5 for obvious reasons with no plans on returning to it and for them to unlock a certain armor because they stayed is kinda a kick in the nads tbh. I’m perfectly fine with the 152s getting a nameplate with a cool guardian or something on it. But not armor.

I did not know this! Thanks for the link!

Sure…though I doubt there is much stopping them from just renaming it to something different while keeping a sort of similar general design for a successor. It’s obviously inspired by the designs and yet I seriously doubt it would be the only inspiration and I dare anyone to find any game/movie that isn’t. Even if they can’t use that specific asset in future games for unclear reasons…maybe it’s time to make a successor to the armour based on many of humanity’s’ countless past designs in our culture instead of the Ninja Gaiden design. It’s not as if Ninja Gaidens armour is original either.

I think the best thing 343i should do is either let us pick any 1 single armour set early on from Infinite or make a custom armour for 152 Veterans since 152 was ridiculous.

I just want to be able to rock the katana again

You basically just described the Shinobi armor set, which is the spiritual successor to the Hayabusa set.

I am nowhere near 152 but I do agree that they should receive that armor. Also they should start having some armors like Recon be special unlockables for doing certain things.

I have no idea. Most people in the games industry tend to take inspiration from real life.
