343 Why is there 14 one shot Weapons, it is not Necessary to have that much one shot Weapons. that’s why 90% of my Deaths are from the one shot Weapons. What happend to the good out Dmring or out BRing people that took skill. Now the whole team is running around with one shot weapons. yet u ask us players give you a chance, because this is you’re guys first Halo game. But Cmon its common sense not to put 14! One shot weapons into Halo. And yet Giving u a chance, u take no advice from people simply pointing out the problems in the game that are quite Noticeable if you actually tested and played you’re own game to test peoples theory’s, the Game would be amazing. and people wouldn’t be quitting you’re game. I Hope this msg gets out to people that are having the same problems that i am having and possibly a 343 person.
Ordinance drops are amazing eh!
/sarcasm
This is one of the reasons why people are saying the game is CoD like. The ease in which you can kill due to all these weapons.
It used to take skill to kill in Halo. Now the game is noob friendly to the max. Just spam DMR, pick up assists (not kills) have rockets/snipes dropped in your lap via ordinance and wa-la.
Clearly 343’s development team and testers were never any good at the previous games.
One Shot Weapons
Scattershot (one shot or 2 shot depending on distance)
Shotgun
Sniper rifle
Beam rifle
Binary Rifle
Rail gun
Rocket launcher
Incineration Cannon
spartan lazer
Sticky Detonator ( one shot depending on range)
Fuel Rod Cannon
Boltshot
Energy sword
Gravity Hammer
Stong Weapons
Assault Rifle
Saw
Needler
plasma pistol
Normal Weapons
Battle Rifle
Storm Rifle
Suppressor
DMR
Carbine
Light Rifle
magnum
there are 2x the amount of oneshot weapons then Normal Weapons
What’s funny is there are 14 one-shot weapons and only 11 normal weapons.
So?
Halo 2 had 14 weapons in multiplayer, 5 of them were one shot weapons.
Halo 3 had 21 weapons in multiplayer, 9 of them were one shot weapons.
Still, the difference lies with how many one shot weapons are actually on the map. Static weapon spawns made sure there were only a limited amount of one shot weapons on the map, creating a good balance.
Now with random weapon drops and personal ordnance there is a huge abundance of powerweapons on each map, resulting in chaos. Static weapon spawns made sure you knew what weapons were on the map, what weapons your team had and what weapons your opponents had. You could adjust your strategy accordingly. Now you can’t predict -Yoink-.
Still there is Way to much of them on all the maps, i Don’t want to look forward at all my future games and say lets see how many times i die by a one shot weapon this time… its stupid

Dont forget Plasma Grenade when getting stuck, Melee from the back.
I play solely Doubles. Can you imagine what a pain this is when the enemy team has access to infinite one shot kill weapons?
Power Weapons spawns every TWO minutes with the same amount as Infinity slayer.
Plus every one can call one shot kill weapons in ordinance.
It’s a rocket and railgun fest.

100% Agree.
I always find it highly undignified when my body gets disintegrated by a Binary Rifle or an Incineration Cannon. That is no way to treat Spartans, even Spartan IVs.
And this is coming from someone who likes to squat all over the corpses of his fallen enemies.

What?
In a short 10 game study that i did for -Yoink- and giggles in BTB i found i was killed 31% of the time by vehicles and 44% of the time by POWER WEAPONS. The remaining 25% of deaths came by melee or loadout weapon.
I was killed by Power Weapons at almost twice the rate i was killed by loadout weapons.
343, seriously?
Most of these weapons are almost copies of each other anyway.
The bigger issue is, as someone said before, how many of these weapons can be on the map at a given time.
Is it unusual that steps were taken in halo 4 to reduce grenade spamming, but power weapons are given (seemingly) no such thought to being restricted?
The issue really is more of the PO and random weapon spawns issue then there being too many one shot weapons. That being said there are WAY too few weapons incapable of a one hit kill and I really would have liked to see the classic Plasma Rifle, and possibly the Spiker back.
A very good point. In all of the old halo games there was a balance on each map more normal weapons then power weapons there for you actually had a chance of making a comeback but in halo 4 six out of eight have power weapons. Then the other teams power weapons kill the two guys on your team who just has either BR or DMR if not your hole team. Rinse and repeat. 343 listen to your community or your first halo game is gonna die and i personally don’t wont that to happen. There’s allot of problem’s but nothing that can’t be fixed. Your taking over halo wars and all the other halo games but if you don’t listen to what all the people who buys your game won’ts whats the point? Listen just listen.
Don’t listen 343i
Make the game that you want to make.
Us vets that play Golden Eye N64 Golden Gun mode… and who spilt blood in Counterstrike know that war is hell… And all it takes is a single shot to kill…

I highlighted the ones that are ONLY 1 shot. Any contact with these weapons delivers a kill - no chance for splash damage or multiple shots. For example, a Snipe or Beam rifle to the abdomen is not a 1SK. Neither is a Fuel Rod Cannon that doesn’t land squarely in your face. And so on.
Am I missing any?
So let’s be clear… they’re not all true 1SK weapons. Some of them require a little bit of aiming, leading, planning, finger gymnastics.

100% agree with this.
