So I’ve heard a lot about the 14 day Xbox Live Trial that comes with Halo 4. Does it limit multiplayer to Halo 4? Someone said you can’t use it for other games. Others say it doesn’t work at all. I’m planning on giving it to a friend for other games, so I want to make sure it works before I give it away.
It’s an XBL trial so it applies to all games

It’s not a Halo 4 trial. It’s an XBL Gold trial. That means you can use it for any game. It’s the same as any other trial code you get with a game. I’m using a trial code from Tomb Raider right now until I can buy a 3-month card. I’m not limited to Tomb Raider, so your friend won’t be limited to Halo 4.

OT: Any trial code you get is for anything on Xbox Live. Not just for the game that’s printed on the card.
