I just recently purchased Halo 5 Guardians and saw on the title screen under the “Community” tab a link for a 14 day Xbox live gold trial. The link took me to halo waypoint and logged me in but it is saying I still need to purchase the game. I talked to MS support and they directed me to these forums. I have a case number as well given to me by the MS associate but I didn’t know if I should post it here.

Have you had Gold previously? Did you buy Halo 5 digitally on the account associated with ColJonesSG1?
I have had gold before but not for a long time. Correct, I bought it through the Xbox store digitally on that account.

I don’t think you can redeem it on an account that’s previously had gold, maybe? I remember that being a speculation when the game launched.

Well, this sucks. Is there actually no way of claiming the 14day trial? I bought this game @beginning of this year and still haven’t gotten the trial
