Strafe battles seem nearly non existent and its a combination of unusually fast kill times for halo and the bullet magnetism .but the player speed is not fast enough to be effective in an even match against even average players. Most players use the BR so I’ll use it as an example. If you start shooting as you jump you’ll Fire three bursts as you hit the ground. The BR can fire four bursts by the time the player can take three full steps . Strafing is meant to move your player away from the enemies reticle and just out of range of the assist aim, because it’s slow , most 1v1 s end up being who got the first shot and/or who misses the last shot even against average players. Halo was always a game where even with less then full shields you could still out strafe and out gun a player lesser then you.
In my opinion because of this your individual skill is reduced and players appeare to be better then they actually are.
I think most would agree with this. It is well-accepted that the movement speed in general is too slow in Halo 4 (and especially sideway) and that the bullet magnetism is too high on certain weapons, reducing the importance of strafing.
Agreed! Y h4 isnt as good as others. I run customs all day everyday lookin for ppl to do the same in prep for mcc. Tweeked gametype were sprint is disabled 90% shield to resemble h2a kill times 120% player speed only on oldschool maps. Me n my bro have a solid 10-15 ppl we regularly play with always need more tho. Also lookin or 2 talented peeps for upcoming mcc tournys. . Send fr to

I’m glad others agree also I should mention that the way the character models lower body moves it gives away the direction your going to move more then reach or h3 but that’s a small thing.over time your mind registers it and again it takes a little away from skill.
120 movement in mm yes or no? I say yes
