All of the featured forum posts are pretty negative, so I thought i’d give my 2 cents.
I have played 80 hours of Arena and Warzone, 20+ hours of custom games, and finished the campaign, and I gotta say I love Halo 5.
There are a lot of people that hate on Halo 5 because they are nostalgia junkies, and believe me… I love Halo CE- Halo 3. I think they are some of the best games every created, but instead of hating Halo 5 because of the things that are different, i love it for the things that are similar and the things that have become better as the franchise grows under our new developers.
Now Im not saying Halo 5 is perfect or that 343 is perfect, but 343 learned a hell of a lot from Halo 4 and took some of the best features of every Halo to consideration in Halo 5.
Good job 343, this game made me proud to be a Halo fan and im sure there are a lot of people that feel similar.
What are some things you guys LIKE from Halo 5? We have all heard what everyone hates and wants fixed, now what are some sustains for future Halo games?

To have a constructive conversation about Halo 5? What is the point of you asking what the point of my post is. I’m sorry you couldn’t deduce any meaning out of a non-negative post.
Honestly, I like how fluid it feels to me. From sprinting into a jump, thrust, stabilizer, clamber in one motion feels really nice. Same with all the other moves you can do
The game feels fluid and the movement is nice, the sandbox definitely still needs some tweaking though. The BTB and Forge update will be good because the game feels really bare bones right now. I personally can’t wait for the aiming updates, and being able to customize the different aspects without buying an elite controller. I don’t really like the warzone maps, it tends to turn into spawn killing or camping with grenades or sword/shotgun as well as snipers. Most of the arena maps are bland to me and aren’t memorable, as well as having certain issues within the maps design. The most annoying things to me currently about the game is people thrusting away last second then spamming grenades until they recover or kill me, as well as solo’s being matched against partied up groups, since I play solo most of the time.
Positive feedback? Guess Warzone is only good thing for me. Playing against AI and players on the same playing field is indeed fun and fun…with the right people who communicate.
Most halo games can be split into three areas of focus. The campaign, multiplayer and custom games/forge.
The multiplayer’s addictive and enjoyable. As well the connect is really solid when I play with international friends (which is a hug relief for me).
Forge looks promising when it comes out. And future multiplayer modes are soon to be added.
So truthful one could argue halo 5 has succeeded(or will succeed) in delivering two out of the three areas of focus.
The campaigns story is fairly cliche. This being said, surprisingly I can play the story with my friends on the other side of the world with almost no connection issues.
Likewise the campaign gameplay mechanics feel fluid and enjoyable to play. Although the story itself wasn’t particularly a joy, progressing through levels, skull hunting and discovering new routes were.
With significant multiplayer connection tied with enjoyable gameplay mechanics in both the campaign and multiplayer, the replay value of halo 5 seems fairly significant.

How is labeling everyone who feels differently about Halo 5 a ‘nostalgia junkie’ contribute to any constructive conversation whatsoever? You’ve already made clear that you don’t want to listen to other perspectives and would rather a -Yoink!- thread on the matter, meaning yes, there isn’t much of a point.
I love that I do feel like a super powered soldier. The armor I mean Spartan abilities are perfect and a lot of fun. Movement speed is great and the weapons are balanced very well. I will definitely be playing this game for quite some time.
I love how this REQ system is allowing 343i to make additional maps available at no additional cost ensuring everyone will have access to them.
I love the locked-in 60 frames per second this game is running at.
I’m so glad 343i decided that SWAT was going to be a launch day playlist; it’s such a fantastic playlist for warming up or playing solo.
I enjoy the new Warzone modes even though I think they need some alterations/improvements; super glad that these modes also include a limited JiP (join-in-progress) as they’d be horrible without it.
I enjoy the new Spartan Abilities; they feel natural and have me feeling more like what I imagine a Spartan should feel like.
I like the concept behind the new visual ranking system in Arena, but people need to understand that it’s Microsoft’s TrueSkill system that’s the backbone of Halo 5’s SBMM (skill-based matchmaking).

He said a lot of people not everyone. Drama much?
I like the fluidity as well. How the thrust armor ability has been put into stock movement.
I would hope that if you did not enjoy halo 5 you would have stopped before you hit 120 hours. I myself have no where near that amount of time in the game but I am having fun.

I’ve made it clear that I have listened to people complain since the minute the game was launched and I want to take a second to see what everyone LIKES. Take your 10 and bring it down to a 2 please

I love how much it does feel like halo and how smooth the game runs at launch. I just absolutely don’t want to play anything else. I admire that you have had a positive experience but honestly I think people are negative because they want to be rather than seeing the good. You just don’t games this smooth at launch anymore and I’m just loving halo

The smooth launch was amazing. I pushed through MCCs launch and having a AAA game launch well was refreshing. I can’t remember the last clean launch.
It feels like the most refined Halo yet. Everything “fits.” I would tweak some of the campaign in term of the story (for fluidity’s sake), but I have really enjoyed my experience thus far.
